Incidents 
September 22
A woman reported damage to a camper trailer, after she had loaned it to someone. Charges were filed for property damage and stealing. 
A Peace Valley man reported three firearms being stolen from him. No suspect has been identified. 
A caller reported a scam that uses software to make a phone number appear as a local phone number was reported. The scammer allegedly identified himself as a police officer. 
A traffic stop was conducted on Porter Wagoner Boulevard in West Plains. Methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle during the stop. The driver also had three felony warrants and was arrested. 
September 23
Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found inside a vehicle during a traffic stop on State Route 17 near Mountain View. The items were seized, and the driver was released. 
A burglary was reported at a residence on County Road 2010 in West Plains. No items were taken from the residence. 
Littering was reported at a property on County Road 1740. No charges were filed. 
A Peace Valley resident reported that a window at his home was damaged by a neighbor. The neighbor had fired a BB gun, striking the window. 
September 24
A lost or stolen license plate was reported at the Howell County Sheriff’s Office. Information was taken, and a reported was filed. 
A catalytic converter was reported stolen on County Road 1710. 
A traffic stop was conducted on County Road 6460 in West Plains. Methamphetamine, marijuana, scales, and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. One male subject was placed under arrest. 
September 25
Two children were inside a vehicle that was involved in a vehicle pursuit on U.S. Highway 63. The driver, a fugitive from out of state, fled from Deputy Paden Turnbull when he attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver was arrested, and the children were taken to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to be picked up by family. 
September 26
A missing person was reported on State Route RA near Mountain View. 
A stolen vehicle was reported at Willow Springs Senior Housing. The investigation continues. 
September 27
A stolen firearm was reported on County Road 8820. A report was taken. 
Theft was reported at Powers Mart in Pomona. A report was filed. 
A male subject reported two firearms being stolen from his vehicle. The incident is under investigation. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on State Route 142 in West Plains. The incident involved an intoxicated male and his juvenile daughter. The male agreed to stay somewhere else for the evening. 
A domestic assault was reported on County Road 6300. The suspect in the assault was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending formal charges. 
September 28
An unconscious person was reported at a residence on County Road 1280. The South Howell County Ambulance District was contacted.
