Corporal Jacob Hamby spoke with an individual regarding a scam
Deputy Nicholas Barslow served a 96-hour hold warrant for an evaluation in the area of 5th Street, West Plains. Formal charges will be submitted if the lab result comes back positive. Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a residence in Caulfield for a report of a stolen truck. His investigation resulted in the recovery of the vehicle and return to the rightful owner.
February 17
Deputy Barslow responded to a call of domestic violence in the area of County Road 3900, in Willow Springs. No charges will be submitted due to a victim who declined to press charges.
Deputy Paden Turnbull took a report of a stolen chainsaw on County Road 4290, West Plains.
Corporal Jacob Hamby received a call for service in regard to property stolen from a residence at County Road 8970 in West Plains.
Deputy Avery Stolba, working under the Operation Relentless Pursuit, conducted a warrant arrest on State Route E, Moody.
Deputy Stolba responded to the area of County Road 5120, Willow Springs, for a domestic dispute. His investigation resulted in a suspect arrested and charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors' Office for further review.
February 18
Deputy Leekota Amore spoke to the West Plains Middle School administration about possible intoxicated minors.
Deputy Stolba responded to an address on State Route AD, West Plains, for a landlord-tenant dispute.
Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a residence on State Route E, West Plains, for a report of trespassing.
Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on Jefferson Ave, West Plains.
February 19
Sergeant Seth Smith responded to Junction Hill School on County Road 3010 to assist Children's Division with a child abuse investigation.
Sergeant Smith received a call from the West Plains Police Department to assist with a harassment and domestic assault investigation.
February 20
While on patrol, Deputy Kyle Hambelton heard on the radio a vehicle failed to yield to the Mountain View Police Department. He joined the pursuit and the individual wrecked on State Route 76 a short time later.
Deputy Stolba, working under the Operation Relentless Pursuit, conducted a warrant arrest at the Lanton Road trailer park, West Plains.
Sergeant Smith along with Sheriff Roberts and other Howell County Deputies assisted the South Central Drug Task Force and the West Plains Police Department with a narcotics investigation.
Deputy Hambelton took a report of identity theft.
Deputy Stolba, working under the Operation Relentless Pursuit, conducted a warrant arrest at Cherry St, Willow Springs.
Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of a death on 5th Street in West Plains as Deputy Coroner.
Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on County Road 3210, West Plains, for a reported burglary involving property damage.
Deputy First Class Hodo responded to County Road 5120 in reference to an ongoing domestic situation. The case is closed due to no injuries present and an uncooperative victim.
February 21
Deputy First Class Hodo spoke with a victim in reference to a subject threatening to share explicit images of her. The suspect is unknown at this time. If more information becomes available, the incident will be further investigated.
Deputy First Class Hodo responded to County Road 5800, Willow Springs to assist Children's Division. Children's Division investigation is still pending, and the case is being forwarded to
the Howell County Investigations Division.
Deputy First Class Hodo spoke with an individual reporting possible tax fraud.
Deputy Vice responded to a domestic altercation in Mountain View. Due to one subject admitting to physically assaulting the other party as well as having obvious physical injuries, officers arrested both parties.
February 22
Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at the intersection of State Route E and State Route 142, Moody.
