Calls for Service

June 1

Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of an assault. 

Deputy Avery Stolba responded to an address on County Road 2660, Mountain View, for a runaway juvenile. He located the juvenile referral will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office for further review.

Deputy Stolba received information of Willow Springs first responders on scene at a residence on County Road 5390, Willow Springs, and were actively doing CPR on an individual. Once on scene, he found the individual passed away.

June 2

Deputy Kory Taylor conducted a traffic stop and arrested the operator of the vehicle for possession of a controlled substance.

Corporal Jacob Hamby received a call for service in regards to a possible trespassing at the address of County Road 1460 in West Plains.

Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 5320 for a domestic altercation.

June 3

Deputy Taylor conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 60 in Mountain View and arrested the operator of the vehicle for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Deputy First Class Austin DeShazo responded to the area of County Road 8580, West Plains for a report of a disturbance.

Deputy Dylan Vice responded to the area of State Route CC in West Plains for a requested wellbeing check.

Deputy Kyle Holloway spoke with an individual wanting to report an attempted burglary at a residence on US Highway 63 in West Plains. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

June 4

ORP Fugitive Task Force Officers arrested an individual on an outstanding felony warrant for stealing.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forwarded a Cyber Tip Cpl. Dylan Web after an Electronic Service Provider discovering suspected child pornography distributed on their platform. The report indicates the suspect resides within Howell County. The

investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on State Route ZZ in West Plains to serve an active warrant.

Deputy Michael Pauly received a call reporting a dog bite with the victim at Ozarks Health Care. An investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending upon investigation results.

June 5

Deputy Tyler West responded to a report of a dog bite in the area of County Road 2570. EMS evaluated the victim of the dog bite who later went to the hospital on their own.

Deputy First Class DeShazo took a report of a fraudulent charge on a credit card. The report will be closed due to lack of evidence. 

Deputy Nicholas Barslow took a report for harassment. This case is currently under investigation.

Deputy First Class DeShazo responded to a business located on Kentucky Avenue, West Plains for an individual with active warrants.

Deputy Hambelton responded to State Route AA, Willow Springs for a peace disturbance.

June 6

Deputy First Class DeShazo responded to a residence located on Private Road 3650, West Plains for a report of a domestic disturbance. After speaking with all parties involved, he arrested a subject and placed on a twenty-four hour hold. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

June 7

Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on County Road 6070, West Plains.

Deputy Stolba responded to the Forest Service land off Private Road 5371, Willow Springs. The victim advised they leased Forest Service Land and had a permit to use the property. The victim reported damage to his fence and multiple goats were run over. This is an ongoing investigation.
