August 24
Deputy First Class Michael Lewis responded to an address on Private Road 3714, Mountain View, for a death investigation and EMS requested the coroner. Nothing criminal is suspected
at this time.
Corporal Jacob Hamby received a call for service at County Road 1980 in Pomona in regards to stealing.
Deputy Avery Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on County Road 3210, West Plains.
Deputy Stolba completed an ID/OD VIN verification on a vehicle.
Deputy Michael Pauly received a call for a weapons offense on State Route 17.
Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on County Road 1680, West Plains. The subject failed to respond to command multiple times before officers entered the residence. After more attempts to communicate with the individual, they eventually surrendered to officers.
August 25
Corporal Hamby conducted a warrant arrest at an address at US Highway 63, West Plains.
DFC Jordon Collins assisted the Missouri Children's Division with an investigation at a residence in the Willow Springs area.
Corporal Hamby received a call for service at State Route 76 in Willow Springs in regard to a disturbance between two subjects.
DFC Collins took a report at the Howell County Sheriff's Office regarding multiple unauthorized transactions from a bank account. The investigation is ongoing.
Cpl. Dylan Webb received information from the Cyber Tipline Report (CTR) for follow up by
the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. An investigation is ongoing.
While performing normal duties as a School Resource Officer for the Zizzer Pride Academy, Cpl. Dylan Cook responded to a medical emergency involving a student.
August 26
Deputy Franklin Nesbitt responded to County Road 3440, Mountain View for a reported burglary. All information will be passed on to the Howell County Investigations Division for a follow-up.
Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on State Route W in Peace Valley for a report of a domestic altercation. The victim did not wish to pursue charges. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
August 27
Deputy Nesbitt responded to County Road 1820, Pomona, for a suspicious vehicle parked near the railroad tracks. He spoke to an individual sleeping in the vehicle and they left the area. The landowner did not wish to pursue trespassing charges.
Deputy Kory Taylo received a call for service regarding an unresponsive female at a residence on US Highway 63 in West Plains.
While performing normal duties as a School Resource Officer for the Zizzer Pride Academy, Cpl. Cook spoke to the ZPA administrator of threats made on August 24th.
Deputy Nesbitt responded to County Road 3140 to assist Childrens Division.
Deputy First Class Austin DeShazo spoke with two individuals in the lobby of the Howell County Sheriffs Office, who wished to report harassment. The case is currently under investigation.
Deputy Holloway spoke with a victim reporting a theft that occurred online. This investigation remains ongoing.
Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on County Road 3080, Mountain View for a report of a juvenile causing a disturbance. During the investigation, he discovered the reporting party exhibited a firearm to intimidate the juvenile during the incident. He placed them under arrest for a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A probable cause statement was forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
August 29
Deputy Holloway responded to a residence on County Road 8800, West Plains for a report of a disturbance. The suspect fled prior to his arrival and later arrested and placed on a 24-hour
hold. A probable cause statement will be submitted to the Howell County Prosecuting
Attorney's Office.
Deputy First Class DeShazo spoke with individuals at the Howell County Sheriff's Office who wished to report their juvenile child received pornography from individuals they believed to be adults. The investigation is currently open and active.
August 30
Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on Pine Ave, West Plains.
