Undersheriff Justin Riley received a report of a non-caretaker referral from the Missouri Department of Social Services.
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to County Road 1290 in Willow Springs in regards to stealing and property damage. This case is under investigation.
Deputy Tessa M. Jens received a report of a violation of a protection order. A probable cause statement will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for further review.
Deputy James Wardrip responded to a residence on State Route WW in Mountain View for a person violating a full protection order. He arrested the suspect and transported them to the Howell County Detention Center for a 24-hour hold.
December 19
Undersheriff Riley received the report of a non-caretaker referral from the Missouri Department of Social Services.
Deputy Austin Ryan responded to a report of stealing in the area of US Highway 60 in Mountain View. Investigation found more than $15,000 worth of property stolen. This case is still under investigation.
Deputy Hamby received a report of stealing at the Bullseye in Caulfield. He reviewed video footage and identified a suspect.
Deputy Ryan received a report of trespassing in the area of County Road 3810. A report will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Deputy Dakota Millard responded to Mountain View Police Department to take possession of a firearm involved in a crime. He placed the firearm into evidence at the Howell County Sheriff's Office.
December 20
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 6050 for a death investigation. EMS pronounced the subject deceased prior to his arrival.
Deputy Kyle Parrish spoke with an individual to report their adult son as a missing person. The parent reported last seeing their son at his residence on State Route AB on December 2 at approximately 10:00 p.m. hours. This matter remains under investigation.
Deputy Jens received notice of a stolen vehicle in Mountain View. She also received information of a suspicious vehicle, located at a residence on County Road 1990 in Willow Springs that matched the description of the stolen vehicle. She recovered the vehicle at the residence on County Road 1990. This case remains under investigation.
December 23
Deputies responded to an address on County Road 5120, Willow Springs for a property damage report. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Webb responded to County Road 1820, West Plains for a theft report. The individual reported missing two firearms and some silver from the residence. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputy Webb took a report of a stolen camper trailer.
Deputy Brandon Meacham responded to State Route AB, West Plains for a weapons offense call. There will be nothing further on this.
December 24
Deputy Malone received notification of a court order violation that took place on State Route K, Pottersville. Charges will be filed with the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
