Calls for Service
March 11
Deputy Robert Malone conducted a traffic stop on County Road 8010, West Plains. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver for no valid license.
Deputy Melanie Roam received a report of a court-ordered violation. All information will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review of formal charges.
Deputy Dylan Webb responded to County Road 8870, West Plains, for a missing person report. The reporting party later found the missing person. 
HCSO received numerous reports of a subject calling individuals and identifying himself as a sergeant with the Howell County Sheriff's Office. This subject requested payments from victims in the form of gift cards. An investigation is currently ongoing for false impersonation and stealing.
Deputy First Class Jared Hummel took a report of stealing.
March 12
Deputy Talon Millard responded to a disturbance on County Road 2960, Mountain View. A verbal
altercation occurred with no injuries, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Deputy T. Millard investigated a report of a runaway juvenile.
March 13
A Children's Division Investigator contacted the sheriff's office requesting assistance with a hotline call in reference to possible sexual abuse of a child. Deputy Webb contacted the child and ensured their safety. An investigation is ongoing.
March 14
Corporal Seth Smith received a call of a 911 hang up in Peace Valley. 911 stated a male subject advised "they are going to kill me". 911 pinged the phone and provided the address on County Road 3850. Investigation discovered a subject illegally possessing a firearm. This incident is under investigation.
March 15
Deputy Austin Ryan spoke to a victim reporting stealing in the area of State Route K in West Plains. He contacted both parties who agreed to work things out.
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 8270 in reference to a violation of an order of protection. He arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold. Charges will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for further review.
March 16
Deputy Hunter Ward received notice of an alleged out-of-control juvenile with a knife off State Route N in Pomona. This case will be referred to the Howell County Juvenile Office.
Corporal Smith assisted with the arrest and transport of a subject at the Howell County Courthouse. While in custody, the subject damaged jail property and additional charges will be sought.
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to State Route AB, West Plains, for a report of property damage. He placed the suspect on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
March 17
Corporal Travis Weaver responded to Private Road 6922 in West Plains for the report of a subject walking down the road with a firearm. Investigation discovered the subject had trespassed, assaulted a neighbor, and then retrieved a firearm from their residence and attempted to return to the neighbor’s house. They arrested the subject, and placed them on a 24-hour old pending formal charges.
