Incidents
September 28
An unconscious person was reported on County Road 1280 in West Plains. Paramedics had responded to the scene and had requested assistance. An investigation was conducted. 
September 29
A woman was taken to Ozarks Healthcare after being involved in a domestic assault. No charges were sought against the woman’s husband, at her request. 
September 30
A high-speed pursuit began near Luna Drive and County Road 2010 in West Plains when Deputy Dakota Miller attempted to stop a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. A tire blew out on the suspect vehicle, causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch on East U.S. Highway 160. The driver fled through a field but was later apprehended. A bag of white crystalline substance was found on the suspect, and additional white crystalline substance was found inside the suspect’s vehicle, along with thousands of dollars in cash. 
A missing person was reported to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation continues. 
A skid steer that had been stolen from Greene County was located near State Route FF in West Plains. The skid steer was recovered, and the investigation continues. 
An assault was reported on State Route 14 in West Plains. Charges were forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor for review. 
October 1
An unresponsive male subject was reported at a residence on Private Road 1774. After an investigation, it was determined that the man died of natural causes. 
A bad check was reported at Guns4U in West Plains. 
October 2
Two people with outstanding federal warrants were apprehended at a residence in West Plains. 
October 4
A woman reported that someone has used her banking information without her permission. A report was taken. 
Deputy Nicholas Bruno responded to the Mountain View Police Department in reference to stolen property that had been located. A male subject is in custody in connection to several stealing cases. 
An assault was report on County Road 2010 in West Plains. The two involved parties each wished to pursue charges. 
October 6
The violation of a court order of protection was reported on County Road 4000. A report was taken, and the investigation continues. 
October 7
A domestic abuse report was taken from a child who witnessed a fight between her father and brother. A hotline report was made to social services. The investigation continues. 
A domestic disturbance was reported near State Route 14 and State Route T. The involved parties could not be located in that area. A short time later, the female subject involved in the disturbance had reportedly locked herself in a bathroom in South Fork. The male party was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold. 
A motorcycle rider and passenger were ejected after striking a vehicle at the intersection of North Howell and Olden in West Plains. The driver had fled from an attempted traffic stop on Bratton Avenue, just before the accident.
