Incidents 

March 25

A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on County Road 8240. No criminal charges were filed. 

March 26

A male subject was cited for driving while suspended, and a female subject was taken into custody on an active Texas County warrant during a traffic stop on Main Street in Willow Springs. 

A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on County Road 2030 in Mountain View. A female reported that her boyfriend had slammed the front door, breaking it, and was refusing to leave the residence. 

A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, following a traffic stop on State Route BB in West Plains. 

A lighting violation prompted a traffic stop on County Road 6920. The female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

March 27

A prior assault was reported on County Road 8190. Pictures of the victim’s injuries and damage to a vehicle were provided by the reporting party.  

Property damage was reported on Private Road 2543. 

A van was reported stolen from a location near Mountain View. The investigation continues. 

March 28

A driver was cited for a lighting violation and no valid operator license during a traffic stop on County Road 1770. 

March 29

A suspect was placed under arrest for domestic assault on County Road 6540 in West Plains. 

A weapons offense was reported on County Road 2980 in Mountain View. 

A possible stolen vehicle was wrecked in West Plains. The vehicle is believed to have been stolen by a female subject on March 26. 

A stolen vehicle was reported at a residence on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. The investigation continues. 

March 30 

Heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine were located in a vehicle during a traffic stop on County Road 8690. 

March 31

Two individuals were arrested on active warrants, and one of these individuals was charged for possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop on Private Road 1260. 

A theft was reported on County Road 1770. 

A caller reported sending a payment through Facebook to a business. The business stated that they had not received payment. 

Harassment and the violation of a protection order were reported on Michael Stihl Road in Mountain View. Charges were filed. 

A woman on County Road 3850 reported that her teenage daughter ran away from home. The case remains under investigation. 

April 1

A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 8810. A male subject was taken into custody. 

A deceased male was reported at a residence on 8970. No foul play is suspected. 

A backpack was located at a property on 7320. The backpack was placed into found property. 

April 2

A male subject was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated near Dairy Queen in West Plains. 

A death was reported at a residence on County Road 6300 in West Plains. 

An employee at The Battery Station reported that a customer had stolen his phone while he wasn’t looking. Charges were filed.  

A property owner on State Route W reported that someone had cut her fence and had been trespassing on her property. 

An inmate was placed in custody by the Alton Police Department. 

A male subject reported being the victim of a fraud. 

April 3

A dog bite was reported by Mercy Hospital in Mountain View. The case remains open. 

April 4

A disturbance was reported on Cedar Street in West Plains. No involved party wished to pursue charges. 

A woman reported that she was shoved to the ground by her brother. The male suspect was taken into custody pending formal charges.
