Incidents
April 15
A female subject was taken into custody on State Route ZZ in West Plains. The woman faces additional charges after becoming combative and resisting arrest. Additionally, the woman was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
A stolen vehicle was discovered near a National Forest area on County Road 4420. The vehicle was removed from the area.
A business in Pomona made a report of forgery. A suspect has been identified. The investigation continues.
April 16
A male subject was arrested for driving while revoked, after a traffic stop on County Road 6540 in West Plains.
A stolen motorcycle was found abandoned on State Route 142 near Moody. The motorcycle was removed from the scene by a towing company. The investigation is ongoing.
A driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended, during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 63, near State Route N in Pomona.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 6300. A male subject was arrested for third degree domestic assault.
Two individuals were stopped near County Road 6540 for riding bicycles at night without lights. The stop led to the seizure of stolen property and controlled substances. The incident remains under investigation.
April 18
Items were reported stolen from logging equipment that was parked alongside County Road 6760 in West Plains. A report was taken.
A woman reported that someone slashed two tires on a vehicle that was parked outside of her home on County Road 2690.
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office received a report of child molestation at a residence in Willow Springs. One male subject was taken into custody. Formal charges are pending.
April 19
A possible missing subject was reported on County Road 6330. The subject was located a short time later.
A male subject reported that he had purchased a tractor online but did not receive it. A report was taken, and the investigation is ongoing.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 6070. No criminal charges were filed.
A male subject was taken into custody during an investigation of a suspicious vehicle. The man was placed under arrest for several outstanding warrants.
An assault was reported on County Road 6640. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
April 20
A theft was reported on the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 63.
Suspected methamphetamine was located during an investigation of a one-vehicle accident in front of Snappy Mart in Willow Springs. The female driver was taken into custody.
A Willow Springs man reported that someone he knows had taken his ATV and refused to return it. A report was taken, and the investigation continues.  
April 21
Methamphetamine was found in a vehicle that was attempting to elude a traffic stop on County Road 4300 in West Plains. A male subject was arrested on scene with formal charges pending.
April 22
Two people were arrested during a traffic stop at State Route N and Private Road 1511. A white crystalline substance and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.
Damage was reported to a vehicle on County Road 2340 in Pomona. The case remains under investigation.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 2770 in West Plains. The involved parties stated that they were arguing over a lost debit card. The male subject was about to leave the residence for work.
A statement was completed by a victim that wished to report a past sexual assault.
A child molestation incident was reported at a residence in West Plains. A suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
A man reported being bitten by his neighbor’s pit bull. The owner of the animal reported that the dog has had its vaccines. The event was documented.
April 23
A theft was reported on Private Road 8572 in West Plains. No criminal action was discovered at the scene.
A burglary was reported on State Route ZZ in West Plains. A firearm was among the items stolen. The investigation continues.
A report of littering was received on County Road 3070 in Mountain View. Trash and prescription medication bottles were scattered along the County Road. A follow up with the suspects will be made.
April 24
A male subject was arrested on several outstanding warrants on State Route N in Pomona.
Property damage was reported at a residence on County Road 2010. A report was taken.
A domestic dispute was reported on County Road 2900. The victim declined to prosecute.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 1300. No criminal charges were filed.
A stolen vehicle was reported on County Road 1390 in Pomona.
April 25
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a company vehicle at Great Rivers Distributing. The case remains under investigation.
A male subject reported being scammed out of $800. The suspect has not been identified.
A female subject was cited for driving without a valid license during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 63 in West Plains.
A disturbance was reported at a residence on County Road 2770. A male subject was placed on a hold for safety.
April 26
A pickup was reported stolen on State Route 142 in Moody. The victim stated that someone took the truck when he had left the keys in it. The truck was located and returned to the owner later that afternoon.
