Incidents
August 2
Damage to a mailbox was reported on County Road 9030 in West Plains. Extra patrol was conducted in the area.
The human resources department at a business on U.S. Highway 160 reported threats by a male employee, insinuating that he wanted to harm another individual. A report on the matter was completed.
August 3
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 6692. No criminal action was discovered.
August 4
Trespassing was reported on County Road 2070 in Pomona. The reporting party stated that they believed people were trying to squat on his land. Extra patrol was conducted in the area.
August 5
A traffic stop was conducted for an adult who was violating a protective order for a child that was in the vehicle. The child was taken to another family member for safety.
August 6
An assault was reported on County Road 6720. Charges were forwarded to the county prosecutor.
A female subject on County Road 7320 reportedly woke up to find an unknown male subject inside her home. The woman escorted the male subject out of the residence at gunpoint, where he walked away without incident. The man was found at another residence a short time later. No charges are being sought.
Cornerco in South Fork reported a suspect that had stolen fuel on two separate occasions. A report was taken.
Numerous 911 hang up calls were received from a residence on State Route PP in West Plains. Deputies responded to the address.
Lawn decorations were reported stolen from a residence on County Road 1710. No suspect has been identified.
Property damage was reported at a residence on County Road 4490 in Pomona. Charges are pending.
A domestic assault was reported on County Road 3530 in Mountain View. A male subject reported that he had been shot at by a female subject. The female subject was arrested for first degree domestic assault, property damage, third degree assault for a special victim, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.
August 8
A female subject reported the violation of an order of protection.
Two forged checks were received at Bullseye in Caulfield. A report was taken, and the investigation continues.
A male subject reported a theft on County Road 2380 in Pomona.
A male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. The driver of the vehicle was issued several citations.
August 9
A theft was reported on Rhonda Drive in West Plains. The investigation continues.
A runaway juvenile was reported on County Road 2150 in Pomona. The juvenile was located and was returned home to his parents.
August 10
A female subject reported that her ex-boyfriend had violated a restraining order. Charges were sent to the county prosecutor.
One male subject was arrested after an assault on County Road 1530 in Willow Springs. The male victim stated that he wished to pursue charges against the assailant.
A subject with an outstanding warrant was arrested on County Road 5080 in Pomona. The homeowner of the residence where the subject was located was also arrested for hindering prosecution for a felony  after both subjects refused to come to the door of the residence.
