Incidents 
August 17
Deputy Nicholas Bruno assisted the West Plains Police Department in apprehending a male subject who had fled on foot near the area of 2nd and 3rd Streets. The male subject, who had outstanding felony warrants, was taken into custody after a short foot chase. 
A missing person report was filed at the Howell County Sheriff’s Office. A short time later, the subject reported missing was found. 
August 18
An individual was reported missing in the Peace Valley area on Private Road 3230. The investigation is ongoing. 
After receiving information of the whereabouts of a person wanted in Howell and Texas County, deputies were able to locate and apprehend the wanted subject.
A theft was reported on County Road 8530. The investigation continues. 
August 19
A vehicle theft was reported on County Road 7040. A report was taken. 
A theft was reported on County Road 1280 in West Plains. A report was taken, and the investigation continues. 
A child custody dispute was reported on Missouri Avenue in West Plains. A report was taken. 
A suspect is being charged with driving while intoxicated and felony resisting arrest after a pursuit on U.S. Highway 63. The suspect fled from an attempted stop after driving well over 100 miles per hour. The vehicle continued to flee from law enforcement until the vehicle was disabled. 
August 20
An overdose was reported on U.S. Highway 160 near Caulfield. EMS attempted CPR, but the subject was pronounced deceased. The matter remains under investigation. 
August 21
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 3140 in Mountain View. The involved parties were advised of their judicial remedies. No charges were filed. 
Interference with child custody was reported at a residence on the 800 block of Main Street in Willow Springs. Charges have been filed. 
August 22
The investigation continues in a domestic assault on County Road 1240 in West Plains. The suspect fled from the residence when deputies responded and fled a second time into a wooded area when deputies returned. The suspect was not located. The victim received minor injuries. 
A resident on County Road 5150 reported a stolen vehicle. 
Property damage and a violation of a court order of protection were reported at a residence on County Road 9730. 
A female suspect was arrested for second degree burglary after locking herself in the bathroom at a residence on County Road 5710 near Willow Springs. The occupant of the home reported the burglary and the location of the suspect. 
August 23
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 5130. No criminal charges were filed. 
August 24
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 6140 in Dora. 
A female subject on County Road 9160 reported a 2012 Ford Fusion stolen.
