Incidents
August 25
A death investigation was conducted on State Route W.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a van at Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs. The matter is under investigation.
A theft was reported on County Road 8970.
A theft was reported on County Road 1180. Extra patrol was requested in the area.
August 26
Three children were removed from a home on State Route 76 in Willow Springs after a report of child abuse. The matter is still under investigation.
A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop on State Route N.
August 27
A business on State Route E in South Fork requested that a subject be trespassed from the property. The subject being trespassed wished to file an assault charge against the business owner.
Deputy Jordon Collins was involved in a one-vehicle accident while trying to catch up with a vehicle that was seen traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputy Collins was not injured.
August 28
A driver was arrested during a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard for driving while revoked.
Deputies assisted Howell County Corrections Officers with a jail incident.
August 29
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 5790 in Willow Springs. The reporting party did not wish to pursue charges in the matter.
A female subject reported a theft from her Chime account.
A male subject on County Road 6420 in Pottersville reported that his son was causing issues. Information was forwarded to the county prosecutor for a review on formal charges.
A caller reported trash that was dumped on County Road 8080. A report was taken.
A possible death was reported on State Route N in Pomona.
August 30
A stolen vehicle was found abandoned on County Road 5120. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The investigation continues.
A male subject was arrested after a domestic disturbance call at a residence on County Road 6420 in Pottersville. Charges are pending.
A male subject was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance on County Road 1240. The suspect was found hiding near the residence.
August 31
A male subject was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Fourth Street in Willow Springs for driving while revoked.
September 2
A child custody issue was reported. A court order is in place for the child to return to the mother. Contact will be attempted with the father. The matter remains under investigation.
A victim of an online fraud came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report. The matter is under investigation.
Notification was given of a protection order violation. Charges were forwarded to the county prosecutor.
September 3
A trespassing suspect was arrested on an active warrant on State Route K in West Plains. Additional charges were forwarded to the county prosecutor.
September 4
Property damage was reported on County Road 3400 in Mountain View. A report was taken.
A violation of a court order of protection was reported on County Road 1240. Charges were forwarded to the county prosecutor.
A disturbance was reported on County Road 5150. It was determined that no crime had occurred. 
September 5
An incident with an inmate’s medicine was reported at the Howell County Jail. The situation was taken care of, and a report was taken.
A trespassing incident was reported on Private Road 8272. A report was taken.
A victim of a theft came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report. The matter is under investigation.
