Incidents
October 4
A death investigation was conducted on State Route 142 near Bakersfield.
October 5
A resident on County Road 7640 reported that she had been having trouble with a neighbor’s dog. The incident was documented.
A possible weapon offense was reported on County Road 1390. A firearm was left at the residence and was seized by the responding deputy.
October 6
A vehicle fled from an attempted traffic stop on U.S. Highway 60 near Mountain View. The vehicle drove down multiple county roads, attempting to flee law enforcement, but became inoperable during the chase. The driver and a passenger were taken into custody. The passenger had an active Howell County warrant. A white, crystalline substance was also found inside the vehicle.
October 7
A suspect fled on foot after abandoning a vehicle during a vehicle pursuit on County Road 1770. Suspected methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle.
October 8
A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend was following her and stalking her on State Route Y in Mountain View. Neither involved party wished to pursue charges, and each were advised of judicial remedies.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 1740 in Peace Valley. A male subject reported that he had been assaulted by his son. The suspect had fled to a wooded area. The investigation is ongoing.
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 7290. No charges were filed.
A male subject was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, following a one-vehicle accident on County Road 8230.
October 9
An assault involving a juvenile was reported on County Road 9100. One subject was taken into custody pending formal charges.
October 10
Two vehicles were reported stolen from Mega Motorsports. A report was taken, and the investigation is ongoing.
