Incidents
July 28
Deputy Benaiah Bishop responded to a death investigation at a home on County Road 3140. Medics had already responded to a report of an unresponsive male at the home. The man had COVID-19, along with other health issues. It was determined that the man’s death was a result of those health issues. 
A possible stolen vehicle was reported on County Road 7890 in Caulfield. The VIN from the vehicle showed that it had been stolen out of North Little Rock, Arkansas. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the rental car company that owned the vehicle was contacted. 
Temporary caretakers of a residence on County Road 3140 in Mountain View reported that the front door to the home had been opened by someone other than them. The lights were on in the home, and the dogs that had been inside were in the yard. The owners of the home were contacted, and the investigation continues. 
A traffic stop was conducted on U.S. Highway 63 for a broken taillight. The stop resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine from the vehicle. 
July 30
A woman came to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to report a stolen vehicle. A report was taken, and the incident remains under investigation. 
A domestic assault was reported at a residence on County Road 6140. The assault resulted in a female subject being left unconscious. Paramedics reported the incident as a domestic assault and transported the woman to Ozarks Healthcare, where a report was taken from the victim. 
A traffic stop was conducted on County Road 1770. The driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended. 
July 31
A man and woman reported that a. Relative had given their teenage daughter alcohol when the man took the couple’s children to the lake to fish and swim. When the relative brought the children home, the parents observed that their 16-year-old daughter was intoxicated. Charges are being sought against the male relative for supplying alcohol to minors. A hotline call for all three children was placed to the Children’s Division. 
A traffic stop was conducted on U.S. Highway 63. Marijuana was seized from the vehicle, which was registered to the state of California. Both occupants were issued a summons to appear in court. 
August 2
A domestic disturbance was reported on Private Road 2787. A male subject reported that his girlfriend started an argument after drinking and chased him out of the house while trying hit him with a metal spatula. The woman stated that the argument was only verbal and had been started by the male subject. The woman stated that she was the owner of the property and wanted the male to be removed from the property. The male subject was given a courtesy ride to a hotel. 
A woman reported receiving harassing text messages. The woman was advised of her judicial remedies and was advised to send screen shots of the harassing messages as evidence. Contact will be made with the suspect. 
A domestic assault was reported at a home on County Road 3390. A suspect was identified, and charges will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for review. 
August 3
Two individuals reported being stalked. The two individuals have an ex parte against the suspect. Contact with the suspect will be made. The investigation continues.
