Incidents
August 12
An assault was reported at a home on County Road 5900 in Willow Springs. No medical attention was required for the injuries received by the victim. The parties were separated for the night, and domestic assault charges against the suspect were forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor.
A search warrant was executed at a residence on County Road 8350 in West Plains for a wanted fugitive. During the search, deputies found methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl and/or heroin, drug paraphernalia and firearms. The case remains under investigation. 
Property damage was reported at the Pomona fire station. A suspect broke glass out of a door to gain entry to the building. While the suspect was attempting to steal gasoline, he was interrupted by fire department personnel. A report was taken. 
August 13
A theft was reported at a home on State Route 76 in Willow Springs. A report was taken, and the incident is under investigation. 
A woman came to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of her vehicle by her son. The 2008 Toyota Camry was entered into the stolen vehicle database. The investigation continues. 
August 14
A male subject reported that someone had stolen his credit card information, and put money on the account of an inmate. A report was taken, and the matter remains under investigation. 
Deputies attempted to locate a male subject at a residence on North Grand Street in Willow Springs for active arrest warrants. The male subject was not located. 
August 15
A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on State Route 14 in West Plains. Charges were filed with the Howell County Prosecutor. 
August 16
Mega Motorsports in West Plains reported that someone tampered with a fuel tank and stole an unknown amount of fuel. A report was taken, and the investigation continues. 
August 17
A West Plains man reported that his 17–year-old daughter ran away from home. As of report time, the juvenile had not been located.
