May 11
Deputy Austin Ryan responded to the area of US Highway 60 in Mountain View for a report of trespassing.
Corporal Jacob Hamby spoke to an individual in regard to being scammed out of personal information.
Deputy John Patrick Buenger arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant at the West Plains Civic Center.
Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to County Road 5430 and Forest Service Road 1080 for a mentally disturbed persons call.
Deputy First Class Malone responded to County Road 6980 in Pottersville for a domestic altercation.
Deputy Avery Stolba responded to an address on County Road 8800 in West Plains regarding a property disturbance.
Deputy Tyler Ryan responded to an address on State Route 14 for a domestic altercation involving a subject stating they would burn the house down. When he arrived, he found smoke coming from the home and not knowing if anyone else might be inside the residence, Deputy Ryan entered the residence and detained a subject. He arrested the subject and placed them on a 24-hour hold. Formal charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
May 12
Deputy Ryan conducted a traffic stop in the area of US Highway 63. He found both occupants in the vehicle had active warrants out of Douglas County and placed them under arrest.
The ORP Task Force Officers conducted surveillance in the Eunice and Summersville area of Texas County for a subject with an outstanding warrant. Officers located the subject and took them into custody without incident.
Deputy Stolba took a report of a theft from property at an address on County Road 6540, West
Plains.
Deputy First Class Malone responded to a residence on County Road 8430 for a dog bite.
Deputy First Class Malone responded for a K-9 call out to assist Missouri State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on Preacher Roe Blvd.
Lieutenant Seth Smith received a call for service on Illinois Avenue in Brandsville regarding an out-of-control juvenile. The reporting party advised a 14-year-old juvenile damaged property with a bat. A juvenile referral will be submitted to the Juvenile Office.
Sgt. Logan Wake investigated a report of an individual shoved out of a vehicle near the south junction of Willow Springs. There is not enough evidence to support the allegations, and no charges will be requested.
Deputy Stolba investigated a report of a missing person. He spoke to the individual who stated they were moving out of state.
Cpl. Paden Turnbull took a report of unlawful use of a weapon, resulting in the death of a dog in the area of County Road 4300, West Plains.
May 13
Deputy Ryan took a report of fraud.
Deputy West spoke with individuals reporting a possible violation of an order of protection. The
case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for further review.
ORP Fugitive Task Force Officers received information of a felony warrant for the arrest of an individual. They located and arrested the individual without incident at the Caseys on Gibson Ave.
Deputy Cody Voyles received a request for wellbeing check that later turned into a missing persons report in West Plains. He later located the subject.
Deputy Vice responded to Ozark's Healthcare Hospital in for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to an 18-year-old male. The gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted and consistent with the victim's version of events. The evidence pointed towards a negligent discharge into the hand of the victim.
May 14
Deputy West responded to the White Oak gas station in Caulfield for a report of stealing. His investigation identified a suspect, and the case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
May 15
Deputy West responded to Dollar General in Caulfield in reference to a domestic disturbance during a custody exchange.
May 17
Corporal Hamby spoke to an individual regarding a possible violation of an order of protection.
Deputy Ryan took a report of property damage.
Deputy Stolba responded to County Road 6110, West Plains, for a disturbance. He advised both partes of the 12-hour rule.
