October 1
A warrant was verified for the West Plains Police Department.  
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office advised of a vehicle headed toward Mountain View with a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was not located. 
A possible intoxicated driver was reported on 2nd Street. Contact was made, and the driver was not intoxicated.  
McDonald’s reported that someone had shot the outdoor menu with a pellet gun. 
A possibly intoxicated person was reported loitering near a building on 2nd Street. Information on a local homeless shelter was provided to the man after he was told that he could not remain on the property. 
Assistance was given to DFS for a walkthrough at a home on 7th Street.  
A resident reported that someone had defecated on their property. 
October 2
A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on North Ash. A male and female on the scene stated that there was no argument. The woman was upset because she had dropped and broken her phone. 
A caller complained about trash in front of a trailer on East 5th Street. 
A loose dog was reported on West 1st Street. The dog was not located. 
A caller from Van Buren called about a vehicle title issue. The caller was advised to contact Van Buren Police. 
A caller complained about a barking dog on Wolsey Avenue. Contact was made with the owner. 
A possible intoxicated driver was reported near Anchor. The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 
October 3
A possible intoxicated driver was reported near the Youth Center. The driver was located and arrested for driving while intoxicated. 
The Missouri State Highway Patrol brought a subject to the police department to be bonded on Shannon County warrants. 
Smoke was reported coming out of McDonald’s. Workers were on the scene, cleaning up, and had stopped the smoke. 
A suspicious male was reported near the elementary school. Contact was made with the male, and he left the property. 
A report was made of someone trying to get inside a residence on 3rd Street. Extra patrol was provided in the area. 
October 4
Clothes and a suitcase were found near the Church of the Nazarene. 
A male was reported trespassing in a room at Malone’s Motel. The man was taken into custody. 
A baby was reported locked in a vehicle on 6th Street. A locksmith was able to unlock the car. 
A domestic assault was reported at a residence on Old Highway 60. The scene was secured until Shannon County Deputies could arrive. 
A vehicle with sparks coming from the trailer was reported on eastbound U.S. Highway 60. The vehicle was gone on arrival. 
October 5
Assistance was given to a motorist with noise coming from their vehicle. 
October 6
A well-being check was conducted on Washington. The resident stated that everything was fine. 
October 7
Two males came to the police department to claim a recovered vehicle. 
A theft was reported at Walmart. Walmart did not wish to prosecute but did ask that the individual be banned from the property.
