Calls for Service 
March 1
A report was received of a deer in the roadway on U.S. Highway 60 that had been hit. The deer was put down and was removed from the roadway. 
A noise complaint was received at Valley View Apartments. Contact was made with the subject in question. The subject was moving out of an apartment and was nearly finished. 
March 2
A security alarm was activated at Crosscut Liquor. The store was about to open, and staff asked that the store be checked before employees entered. 
Information was provided by a caller about a stolen vehicle that was recovered in Mountain View. 
A call was received for a stranded motorist on Sharp. 
A caller reported that a male subject had stolen his phone from his tray at McDonald’s while he was getting a drink. 
March 7
A verbal altercation was reported on Belmont Street. The involved parties were separated. 
An officer was dispatched to a residence on 5th Street for a report of someone making threats. The suspect was asked to leave the property. 
March 8
Medical assistance was requested for a female subject at Walmart who was having trouble breathing. 
A warning was given to a resident on Maplewood Court who had trash in their yard. The subject was given 16 days to clean, but progress was slow. An additional three days were given for the cleanup. 
Assistance was given to EMS for an unresponsive male on North Ash. 
A female subject came to the police department to report an assault. The information was sent to Shannon County authorities, since the assault was reported to have occurred in Shannon County. 
A burglar alarm was reported at West Plains Bank. The building was checked and secured. 
A broken egg was placed on a vehicle at Signal. No damage was done to the vehicle. 
March 9
A two-vehicle accident was reported at the elementary school parking lot. 
A semi-truck and trailer were reported blocking the roadway near West 5th and North Pine. Contact was made with the driver, who stated that a towing company had already been contacted. 
A report was received of an attempted runaway juvenile on Delp Road. The reporting party later called to cancel the report, saying that the juvenile had stopped trying to run away.
A female subject came to the police department regarding marijuana usage around children. 
A man reported a skunk in his live trap. He requested an officer put down the skunk. 
March 10
A report was received of a vehicle on eastbound U.S. Highway 60, heading toward Birch Tree with an infant in the front seat. The information was relayed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, since the suspect vehicle was outside of the city limits. 
A noise complaint was received on a vehicle at Signal. The vehicle left the city limits before contact could be made.
