Officer Matthew Combs responded to a disturbance call. He issued citations for assault and a minor in possession. A probable cause statement will be sent to Howell County Prosecutor for assault with a deadly weapon.
Asst. Chief Schwien responded to W. Second St. for a physical disturbance. Investigation determined the disturbance started over a dispute about a lawn mower throwing rocks and hitting a vehicle. They decided to handle the matter themselves.
Sgt. Kaleb Berkshire responded to a report of a dog at large. He found a dog attempting to break through a fence to get to the neighbor’s dogs. He issued citations for the dog and a warning for a nuisance violation.

Cpl. Guidry received a call of burning. Investigation found the homeowner received a nuisance ordinance warning and created a fire pit to clean the property.

Chief Perkins received a report of an individual stealing from a business overnight. Investigation found the individual on security camera taking items. They also left their name, address, and phone number behind. The case is under investigation.

Off. First Class McGee located an individual pacing in the parking lot of McDonald’s after hours. The individual stated they picked up change dropped in the lot. A security check resulted in the discovery of the individual to have an active warrant.
