Asst. Chief Stetson Schwien issued nuisance ordinance violations.

Lt. Trenton Roberts spoke to an individual reporting they were bitten in the chest by a dog. The individual refused medical treatment or to pursue charges.

Officer Alexis Johnson responded to Veteran’s Park for a report of two juveniles fighting. She found to juvenile individuals actively fighting. She separated them and conducted interviews.

Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued three traffic warnings.

May 11

Officer Matthew Combs responded to a disturbance call. He issued citations for assault and a minor in possession. A probable cause statement will be sent to Howell County Prosecutor for assault with a deadly weapon.

Asst. Chief Schwien responded to W. Second St. for a physical disturbance. Investigation determined the disturbance started over a dispute about a lawn mower throwing rocks and hitting a vehicle. They decided to handle the matter themselves.

Sgt. Kaleb Berkshire responded to a report of a dog at large. He found a dog attempting to break through a fence to get to the neighbor’s dogs. He issued citations for the dog and a warning for a nuisance violation.

Sgt. Berkshire issued a warning for a nuisance violation.

Officer Combs responded to a call of dogs at large. He issued the owner a citation.

Officer Johnson received a report of a suspicious vehicle. She located the vehicle and driver and found them intoxicated.

Officers spoke to four individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

May 12

Cpl. Israel Guidry received a report of stolen property and property damage to the US Cellular tower behind Taco Bell.

Officer Johnson received a request from Howell County Sheriff’s Office to assist a deputy on a traffic stop.

Officers spoke to eight individuals requesting information or assistance and issued six traffic warnings.

Off. Combs responded to a report of an overdose. EMS transported the individual.

Chief Perkins responded to a possible overdose. An individual at the residence administered Narcan. 

Cpl. Guidry received a call of burning. Investigation found the homeowner received a nuisance ordinance warning and created a fire pit to clean the property.

May 14

Chief Perkins received a report of an individual stealing from a business overnight. Investigation found the individual on security camera taking items. They also left their name, address, and phone number behind. The case is under investigation.

Officer First Class Kylie McGee assisted with a wellbeing check of an individual in a facility with non-working phones.

Officers spoke to four individuals requesting information or assistance and issued two traffic warnings.

May 15

Off. First Class McGee located an individual pacing in the parking lot of McDonald’s after hours. The individual stated they picked up change dropped in the lot. A security check resulted in the discovery of the individual to have an active warrant. 

Cpl. Guidry assisted a parent with an out-of-control juvenile.

Cpl. Guidry assisted with a wellbeing check.

Cpl. Guidry investigated a three vehicle, non-injury accident.

Officers spoke to three individuals requesting information or assistance.

May 16

Off. First Class McGee took a report of an incident regarding a juvenile. An investigation will be started.

Off. First Class McGee conducted a security check on individuals parked outside a closed business.

Chief Perkins received a request from Children’s Division with assistance on an investigation and interview.

Off. First Class McGee assisted with a wellbeing check.
