Officer Dylan Cook responded to a disturbance involving one individual throwing water on another while lighting fireworks. Neither party wanted to press charges. The individual with the fireworks had a firework permit.

Lt. Trenton Roberts responded to a report of a disturbance. He did not locate the individuals involved.
Off. First Class Kylie McGee spoke to an individual at the community center reporting they recovered items previously reported stolen.
Officer Cook arrested one with an outstanding warrant.
Officers spoke to one individual requesting information and issued four traffic warnings.
July 9
Lt. Roberts spoke with an individual reporting an assault that took place outside the city.
Lt. Roberts received a request from an assault victim for an escort out of town to avoid the aggressor. 
Lt. Roberts assisted animal control with a dog call.
Lt. Roberts received a request from Howell County for assistance in locating vehicles. He returned the information.
Officers spoke to eight individuals requesting information or assistance. 
July 10
Off. First Class McGee spoke to an individual reporting issues with their juvenile child. Officers found a verbal argument took place and a civil issue.
Off. First Class McGee removed a dead armadillo from the roadway. 
Cpt. Berkshire responded to a report of possible child abuse at Casey’s. He found a child upset, but with no marks and video footage showed no contact made with the child. He released everyone from the scene.
Lt. Roberts removed debris from the roadway.
Lt. Roberts responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. He advised both parties to have no contact with each other.
Lt. Roberts responded to a commercial alarm on E Seventh St. He found the building secure.
Officers spoke to one individual requesting information and issued three traffic warnings.
July 11
Lt. Roberts responded to a commercial alarm. The keyholder arrived and reset the alarm.
Lt. Roberts received a request to check on individuals in the park with a fire. He did not locate the individuals.
Asst. Chief Schwien received a report of a missing person.
Officer Jason McDaniel conducted nuisance ordinance violation inspections.
Officer McDaniel and Cpt. Berkshire responded to a report of a neighbor dog attacking the caller’s. The owner did not want to press charges.
Asst. Chief Schwien responded to a report of a domestic incident on E Fifth St. He found everything calm and secure.
Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued four traffic warnings.
July 12
Asst. Chief Schwien assisted Children’s Division. The case is ongoing.
Asst. Chief Schwien received information of a nuisance violation off South 17 highway. 
Asst. Chief Schwien responded to W. Second St. for assist with a child services investigation. The case is ongoing.
Asst. Chief Schwien responded to E James St Apartments for an individual having a mental crisis. He assisted with voluntary transport for evaluation.
Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued two traffic warnings.
July 13
Asst. Chief Schwien investigated a vehicle accident at Pine and First Streets.
Cpt. Berkshire received a call to Mercy Hospital for an individual requested to be detained for a Shannon County Deputy. While speaking with the deputy, the suspect got out of a vehicle in the parking lot. The female subject with the male became irate, saying she had been being stabbed in the same altercation by her son. Officer Johnson spoke with the female while Cpt. Berkshire detained the male suspect. Shannon County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the subjects.
Officer Koleman McDaniel conducted a requested wellbeing check. EMS transported the individual for medical care.

July 14
Officer Johnson secured the golf course gates.
Officers spoke to three individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.
July 15
Officer J. McDaniel responded to a disturbance. The aggressor left the area, and officers spoke to the reporting party.
Chief Perkins responded to Brookview Apartments for a disturbance. He spoke with the individual causing the issue and advised them to leave the property. The individual returned later, again causing a disturbance. Chief Perkins trespassed the individual and forwarded the information to the probation and parole office.
Officers assisted in removing a disabled vehicle from the roadway.
July 16
Officer J. McDaniel issued two nuisance ordinance violations.
Officer J. McDaniel received a report of a tree hanging over the roadway causing issues. 
Officers spoke to four individuals requesting information or assistance and issued three traffic warnings.
July 17
Lt. Roberts responded to E James for a disturbance. He spoke to both parties and advised them to separate for the night.
Off. J. McDaniel responded to a requested wellbeing check of an individual possibly under the influence. The commercial business issued a trespass order and Off. McDaniel provided a courtesy ride. 
Officers issued three traffic warnings.
July 18
Chief Perkins responded to a request by West Plains Police Department to contact an individual about a possible threatening post on social media. The individual claimed the post a meme and not threatening. Chief Perkins forwarded the information back to West Plains Police.
Chief Perkins responded to Valley View Apartments for a report of a disturbance. He found two individuals involved in a dispute over a dog. He returned the animal to the owner.
Cpt. Berkshire received notice of a trespassing issue. He found an individual trespassed from a property, parked their vehicle on the property and locked themselves out. He issued the individual a citation for trespassing.
Cpt. Berkshire responded to a dispute. An intoxicated subject yelled at their neighbor. The property manager issued notice to the subject to stay on their own property.
Officer K. McDaniel responded to Mercy hospital for a possible domestic dispute. He advised both parties to separate for the night.
