June 19

Officer Megan Barnes assisted an individual at the police department reporting an assault outside the city and a medical issue. EMS transported the individual and the report will be forwarded to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.

June 20

Officer Matthew Combs spoke with an individual regarding a trespassing issue.

Cpl. Kylie McGee assisted with a vehicle fire on the highway and conducted a courtesy transport. 

Cpl. McGee spoke with an individual reporting a harassment incident at Crosscut. 

Cpl. McGee conducted a wellbeing check on an individual yelling at vehicles passing through McDonalds. She advised the individuals of their possible peace disturbance issue.

June 21

Officer Jacob Brixey responded to a report of a tree that fell across power lines. He notified the electric department and fire department.

June 22

Officer Brixey assisted Shannon County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic altercation report.

Chief Stetson Schwien responded to Mercy ER for Shannon County Sheriff’s Office’s request to retrieve evidence in a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

June 23

Officer Brixey arrested an individual at Signal on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Chief Schwien assisted Howell County Sheriff’s Office as they assisted Shannon County Sheriff’s Office with locating an individual with a 96-hour warrant. 

Chief Schwien assisted an individual with posting bond on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Officer Brixey responded to a report of an individual yelling and claiming to be held hostage. He found the claim to be false, and the individual left the area.

Officer Brixey assisted a family at the police department with an argument between a husband and wife.

June 24

Officer Brixey conducted a courtesy transport of an individual walking on the highway. 

Officer Barnes investigated a two vehicle non-injury accident. 

Officer Barnes spoke with an individual regarding their missing dog.

Conducted paper service two times, assisted with lost property once, checked on an abandoned vehicle, spoke with eight individuals seeking information, and issued eleven traffic warnings.
