A man called to ask if a child had been taken to the police department. The man was advised that no child was at the police department. 
A man called to inquire if a purse had been turned in to the police department. No purses were turned in. 
The Missouri State Highway Patrol contacted the Mountain View Police Department to confirm a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and faxed to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office. 
April 15
A woman contacted the police department to speak with an officer about her brother who had passed away. Multiple attempts were made to contact the woman, but she did not answer. 
A woman inquired about gun laws regarding intoxicated individuals and firearms. The woman’s questions were answered. 
A disturbance was reported at a residence on Buddy Lane. The parties were separated, and a male who did not live at the property was advised to stay off of the property. 
A male reported that two females were damaging his truck. A complaint form was given to the man. 
April 16
A woman contacted the police department about a man who had been taken into custody. Information was provided. 
April 17
A security alarm at the high school was activated. The area and building were checked and appeared to be secure. 
A man reported that he believed his aunt had stolen items from his home. A complaint form was provided. 
April 18
A woman reported that she had been assaulted. The woman filled out a complain form, but did not wish to pursue charges. The woman was given instructions on how to obtain a protection order if she wished to obtain one. 
A man inquired about lost property. Information was provided. 
A woman asked for a well-being check on her son, who was at a treatment center and was not willing to speak with the woman. Contact was unable to be made. 
An officer was dispatched to a residence on East First St. to speak with a child. After speaking with the child, the officer gave the child a ride home. 
April 19
A pedestrian turned in a green zipper bag containing drug paraphernalia. The bag was found in the middle of the highway. 
A woman reported that she had heard multiple gunshots behind her home on the evening of April 9. The woman stated that she discovered that her cat had been shot. 
A woman came to the police department to inquire about lost property. The property was not located at the police department. 
A woman came to the police department to claim found property. 
A caller reported children playing in the street on East James Street. The area was checked, but no children were located. 
A woman called the police department, concerned about the care her father was receiving. The woman was advised that she could not make decisions for her father without guardianship. 
A woman reported a suspicious person. Information was taken.
