Calls for Service
August 1
A report was received of a couple having an argument near Godfather’s Pizza. Contact was made with the couple, who stated that they were talking, but not arguing. After admitting that the conversation had gotten a little heated, at times, the couple agreed to separate for the evening. 
Vandalism was reported on Seventh Street. 
An ATM alarm was activated on Sixth Street. The ATM was secured. 
An alarm was activated at Calico Cupboard. The building and scene were secured. 
A woman came to the police department to report that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The woman was assisted until someone from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office arrived to take a report from the woman, since the incident occurred in the county. 
August 2
An alarm sounded for the ATM at West Plains Bank. The ATM was secure on arrival. 
A caller reported trespassers on a lot on the 100 block of West Sixth Street. 
August 3
Officer Timothy Gordon was dispatched to West U.S. Highway 60 to remove a dead deer from the roadway. 
A woman in Delp Road reported that she had a cat in her house that she could not get out. Assistance was given to the woman, and the cat was removed from the residence. 
An alarm was set off at an ATM. The ATM was secure on arrival. 
A well-being check was conducted at a residence on U.S. Highway 60. The resident could not be located. 
A woman was reported to have overdosed on medication on North Marr. The woman became combative with paramedics and law enforcement upon arrival but was able to be taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. 
August 4
A woman came to the police department for a copy of a report. A copy of the report was given to the woman. 
A man called the police department to report that a neighbor had backed into his fence. No damage was done to the fence. 
August 5
A car was reported to be parked on South Marr with two people inside. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle, who stated that they were waiting for the food pantry to open. The driver was asked to pull the vehicle farther off the road for safety. 
August 6
A call was received, requesting that a person be removed from Mobile Estates on West Second. 
A domestic disturbance was reported at an apartment on North Ash. A male subject at the scene was arrested after getting belligerent and grabbing an officer. 
August 7
Officer Trenton Roberts responded to a car alarm going off on East Sixth. Contact was made with the he owner of the vehicle, who had been the victim of a domestic assault. A report was taken. 
August 8
An alarm sounded at the city’s shop building on Third Street. The alarm was reset.
