Incidents 
October 19
Another law enforcement agency arrested a female subject on a West Plains warrant. The woman was taken into custody without incident. 
An injured deer was reported in the area of Joe Jones Boulevard and North Howell. 
A domestic assault was reported on Paula Drive. The case was forwarded to the municipal court. 
Found property was located at the skate park on 1st Street. The item was placed in evidence for safekeeping. 
A stolen firearm was reported on 9th Street. The case remains open, and the investigation continues. 
October 20
A male and female were arrested after a domestic assault at a residence on Johnson Street. In addition to charges related to the incident, the female that was involved in the incident was placed on a 96-hour hold, due to numerous suicidal statements. 
A report of harassment was received from a resident on Stewart Street. During the night, a person had placed offensive notes all over the victim’s neighborhood. The matter remains under investigation. 
An incident of harassment was reported at Behavioral Health Group. A report was taken, documenting the incident. 
A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on Kay Drive. Two siblings had gotten into a physical altercation where one subject hit the other in the face. No medical treatment was sought, and no charges are expected. 
A burglary was reported on Webster. The case remains active, and the investigation continues. 
October 21
A male subject was arrested on active warrants during a traffic stop on Burgoyne. 
The West Plains Public Library reported stolen library material. A report was completed. 
A woman reported that someone stole items from her home on Columbus. The investigation continues. 
The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force participated in a residential search in Barry County, concerning the sexual exploitation of children on the internet. The investigation is ongoing. 
A tattoo shop on Worcester reported an incident of harassment. A suspect has been identified. 
Contact was made with a female subject who had an active felony warrant. The woman was taken into custody. 
A disturbance was reported at O’Reilly’s on Preacher Roe. Several parties were arguing at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.  
A domestic disturbance was reported at a home on West 3rd Street. A female subject stated that she and her husband had gotten into an argument, which turned physical. .The woman’s husband had left the residence for the night. 
October 22
Officers were dispatched to Gibson Plaza for a mentally handicapped male that had walked away from his caregiver. The man was taken into custody without incident. 
A hit-and-run accident was reported. A report was completed. 
Found property was reported on Hynes Street. A report was completed. 
A cell phone was found on Main Street. The phone was placed in evidence for safekeeping. 
A detaining library material report was submitted by the West Plains Public Library. A report was forwarded to the municipal prosecutor. 
A child custody violation was reported after a mother refused to bring her children to their father. Charges are being sought. 
A well-being check was requested for an elderly male on Paula Drive. The man was found pinned under a lawnmower in a dry creek bed. The man was pronounced deceased by the county coroner. 
Charges are being sought against a male suspect, after a domestic assault on 3rd Street. The man choked his wife, leading to injuries. 
A woman reported that she found a wallet while dumpster diving. The wallet, and its contents, were placed in evidence for safekeeping. 
October 23
A report was received of individuals inside the drainage system on McFarland. During the course of the investigation, a woman was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant. 
A woman reported damage to her vehicle in the Southern Hills Shopping Center. A suspect was identified, and charges are being sought. 
A subject with active warrants out of West Plains was taken into custody by Mountain View Police. The subject was booked at the West Plains Jail. 
Suspected controlled substances were located in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Worcester. The case is open until lab results are received. 
A subject with active West Plains warrants was taken into custody by Willow Springs Police. The subject was booked into the West Plains Jail.
