Incidents
July 25
Officers conducted a traffic stop off Highway 63 on Sunset terrace. Paraphernalia was found, and the driver was released on a summons.
Officers spoke with an individual at the police department regarding a missing individual. Information was taken and the person was entered as missing.
Officers were dispatched to Woodland for a report of a man with a hatchet. The man was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Officers were dispatched to Washington Avenue for a report of a theft. A report was taken, and charges were sent to municipal court.
Officers were dispatched to Cherry Street for a report of individuals squatting and partying at a residence. The incident remains under investigation.
Officers were dispatched to People’s Park for property damage at the pool concession stand. It was learned someone entered the building and damaged property.
A search warrant was executed in the 9700 block of County Road 8290 as part of an investigation into stolen property. Two firearms were seized as evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
A theft was reported from Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply on Worley Drive.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on State Route BB, and it was discovered the driver’s license was expired. Citations were issued and the driver left the scene.
A traffic stop was conducted on Independence Boulevard. It was learned the driver’s license was suspended. Citations were issued and the driver left the scene.
Officers were dispatched to Cole Street for a 911 hang-up call. The call was suspected to be a domestic incident, due to yelling in the background. The incident was found to be a verbal incident only. Contact was made with the Missouri Children’s Division due to children present.
Officers contacted a man in the 400 block of Broadway, and he made indications of harming himself. He was taken to the hospital for mental evaluation.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Arkansas for a report of a stolen bicycle. The officers located the bike later and returned it to the owner.
Officers were dispatched to Hubert Redburn Drive for an individual causing a disturbance. The vehicle driven by the individual nearly collided with officers. The vehicle was stopped and multiple charges are being sought.
A two-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Porter Wagoner and Missouri. The vehicles were towed due to the damage and one driver was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Southwest Missouri Cybercrimes Task Force and Christian County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in Christian County. Several items were seized and the investigation is ongoing.
Property damage was reported in the 900 block of Armstrong, but the case was closed due to lack of evidence.
Several tools were reported stolen from 1912 Holiday Lane. 
Officers were conducting a traffic stop near London Lane and observed heavy smoke in the area of Ramsuer Road. Officers closed Ramsuer Road and called for the fire department. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Officers responded to a verbal domestic in the 300 block of Missouri. The man left the residence and a report was completed.
Officers were dispatched to Preacher Roe Boulevard for a well-being check on an intoxicated man who appeared to be operating a motor vehicle.
July 27
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Catalina for a domestic violence incident, which was determined to be an argument between a mother and son. The 29-year-old male reported being assaulted by his 54-year-old mother. A probable cause statement was forwarded to the Howell County prosecutor.
Officers were dispatched to 401 Aid Avenue for a report of harassment. A report was taken.
A burglary report was taken after the victim went to the police department.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Grace Avenue for a disturbance. It was discovered that two females involved in a relationship were in an argument.
A report of shoplifting from Ramey’s was taken. The suspect was located, and charges were sent to municipal court.
July 28
A man reported he was walking along the roadway in the 3200 block of County Road 1710 when a dog ran into the roadway and bit him. The victim had a puncture to the left calf and medical treatment was obtained. The dog was located and placed on a 10-day hold for observation; the owner was issued a summons for the dog running loose.
A domestic assault was reported in the 800 block of Main. The investigation is ongoing.
Wal-Mart reported a shoplifter after a woman was caught stealing items from the store. A citation was issued and the items were recovered.
July 29
A burglary was reported in the 300 block of Third. A man having a mental episode was contacted and taken to Ozarks Healthcare.
Property damage was reported on Country Club Drive. An unknown man had gone to a residence and attempted entry by force, causing damage to the door latch and lock. Damage also was caused to four tires on a vehicle on the property. Video was captured of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
The Southwest Missouri Cybercrimes Task Force received three reports indicating files of an illicit nature had been observed from a user account on their servers.
Officers were dispatched to the sheriff’s department for an individual who had been arrested on two failure-to-appear warrants.
Officers were dispatched to a business on U.S. Highway 63 for a report of a stolen trailer at the business. The U-Haul trailer had been reported stolen from Flagstaff, Arizona.
A report of stealing was received.
Officers responded to Wal-Mart for stealing in progress. A probable cause statement was forwarded to the municipal prosecutor.
A business alarm call was reported on Doctors Drive. The building was cleared and no evidence of criminal activity was found.
An officer responded to the 300 block of Broadway after a drunk man reportedly was following another man, yelling and making threats.
Property damage was reported in the 400 block of Grace. The incident is under investigation.
Property damage was reported to a parking lot in the 600 block of Lanton. Video surveillance captured footage of a vehicle doing doughnuts in the parking lot, causing damage. The item was referred to the juvenile office.
July 30
A woman reported her wallet stolen from the 1200 block of Missouri. The wallet was returned.
A traffic stop was conducted at Cass Avenue and Porter Wagner. The driver was arrested on an active warrant.
July 31
A domestic disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Main, but no charges were sought.
Property damage was reported at the First Methodist Church, 503 West Main Street. It was found an unknown individual had thrown a rock through a window.
A domestic assault was reported in the 100 block of Bartley. Charges were sent to the municipal prosecutor.
A report of shoplifting was received from Wal-Mart. A citation was issued and sent to the municipal prosecutor.
Officers responded to the junction of U.S. Highway 63 and 14 for a possible overdose. The woman was given a dose of Narcan by EMS and taken to Ozarks Healthcare. Narcotics and a firearm were located inside her vehicle.
A report of trespassing was made at Quality Inn. Upon investigation, an individual was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
