January 3
A domestic assault was reported on the 100 block of Bartley Street. No injuries were reported, and no involved parties wished to pursue charges. 
An unknown suspect broke into Freight America Liquidation on Myrtle Street, causing damage and stealing items. The incident is under investigation. 
A business on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe reported that a male associate had stolen items from the store over the last several months. Charges were forwarded to the West Plains municipal prosecutor. 
Building materials were reported stolen from a job site on Ginger Drive. A report was taken, and the incident is under investigation. 
An individual came to the police department to discuss possible illegal activity that was occurring. A report was completed. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 1200 block of Washington Avenue. It was determined that the altercation was verbal only. No charges were filed. 
January 4
An individual who reported that someone was trying to break into a home on Hubert Redburn Drive was found to have assaulted a male at a residence on Carte Square. It was determined that no break-in had occurred. 
The Willow Springs Police Department requested assistance from the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force concerning suspected child pornography found on SnapChat servers in Santa Rosa, California. A suspect has been identified in Willow Springs. The investigation continues. 
A woman reported that she had accidentally left behind cash dispensed by a self-checkout at Walmart. When the woman returned, the cash was missing. The matter is under investigation. 
An assault was reported on Olden Street. It was determined that two juveniles had gotten into an altercation. The case is still being investigated. 
A suicidal male subject was reported at a residence on Renfrow. The man was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. 
A male subject was arrested on several felony warrants during a traffic stop on State Route K. 
January 5
Stolen property was reported on the 1400 block of 5th Street. The investigation continues. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on Olden Street. No injuries were reported, and no charges were filed. 
A suicidal male was reported on Edwards Drive. The male was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation. 
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Walnut. The matter is under investigation. 
A chainsaw that was reported in Oregon County was pawned at a local pawn shop. The Oregon County Sheriff’s Department was notified. The investigation continues. 
January 6
A deceased female was reported at a home on the 1800 block of Gleghorn. It was determined that the woman died of natural causes. 
A female subject that had made a report of harassment was arrested on an outstanding warrant. It was determined that on harassment had occurred. 
A woman reported a stolen bicycle. A report was taken. 
A woman reported that her debit card was stolen from an ATM. The incident is under investigation. 
Gunfire was reported on the 800 block of Texas Street. A male suspect was identified in the incident. 
An inmate in the city jail was placed on a 24-hour suicide watch after he tried to hang himself inside his cell. An officer was able to get the inmate out of the cell and onto the booking bench with no issue. 
January 7
A suspect in a burglary at Donut Palace was arrested after a burglary alarm was set off. Formal charges are being sought. 
A driver that was involved in a two-vehicle accident at Porter Wagoner and Gibson was arrested on an active warrant. The driver was taken to the Howell County Jail. 
A driver was cited for driving while revoked, during a traffic stop on Walnut. 
January 8
A woman reported an incident that had occurred with her juvenile daughter. The Missouri Department of Social Services was contacted, as a case had already been opened, regarding the juvenile. 
A possible burglary in progress was reported at a residence on the 1000 block of 8th Street. A male who was located at the residence was place on a 12-hour hold, due to his extreme level of intoxication. 
A chainsaw was reported stolen from a residence on State Route K. The incident is under investigation. 
January 9
A civil issue regarding child custody was reported at a home on 2nd Street. A report was taken.
Property damage was reported at a business on the 800 block of Broadway. An employee reported that a male subject, who appeared to be intoxicated, came to the business and damaged a window. The report was forwarded to the municipal prosecutor. 
Contraband was located during a search of a vehicle during a traffic stop at the intersection of State Route 17 and U.S. Highway 63. The driver was placed on a hold with charges pending. 
A report of harassment was received on the 900 block of Washington. While no harassment was found to have occurred, the reporting party wished to have the subject trespassed from the property.
