Incidents
November 7
An individual reported the theft of medication.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of U.S. Highway 63.
Tampering was reported on the 2300 block of Debra Drive.
A runaway juvenile was reported on the 400 block of Aid Avenue. The juvenile was located and taken to Ozarks Healthcare at the request of the parent.
November 8
A syringe was found inside of a vehicle during a traffic stop on Monks. Charges for possession of a controlled substance are pending, based on lab results.
A male subject was arrested on an active warrant and for possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop on Nichols Drive.
A woman reported that she was struck by several water-based pellets while standing outside of her vehicle on Court Square. The investigation is ongoing.
A protection order violation was reported on Manze.
An assault was reported at Casey’s on Gibson.
Two vehicles had to be towed from the scene of a traffic crash on Preacher Roe Boulevard. One male was arrested at the scene for driving while intoxicated.
November 9
A theft was reported on the 900 block of Howell Avenue.
A male subject was taken into custody on an active felony warrant at Casey’s on Preacher Roe Boulevard.
A male and female were taken into custody on active warrants at a residence on State Route K in West Plains.
A domestic disturbance was reported on Crestwood Circle. The investigation continues.
A male subject was reportedly causing a disturbance on Doctor’s Drive. The man was placed on a protective hold after pulling out a knife and cutting his clothing. No charges were filed.
Property damage was reported on the 1300 block of Southern Hills.
A male victim was reportedly shot in the face with a rubber bullet on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. A suspect was identified, and the toy gun was seized.
A male subject was arrested on an active warrant on the 1300 block of Bill Virdon Boulevard.
November 10
A stolen rental vehicle was reported on the 1800 block of Broadway. A probable cause statement was forwarded to the county prosecutor.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department requested digital forensics on a cellular device as part of an ongoing investigation.
A male subject was taken into custody on an active warrant.
A juvenile was reportedly in possession of a nicotine product on the 600 block of Olden.
A verbal domestic was reported on Thayer Avenue. All parties agreed to leave the residence for the night.
A female subject reported that she had been sideswiped while driving on Porter Wagoner Boulevard. No suspect has been located.
A female suspect was transported from the 400 block of Thayer Avenue to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour hold.
Stolen catalytic converters were reported on the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 63. The investigation continues.
A juvenile reportedly stole a traffic cone and was harassing people at People’s Park.
The violation of a court ordered custody agreement was reported on Jon Street.
November 11
An assault was reported on the 1000 block of Aid Avenue. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
A hit-and-run accident was reported in the area of Monks and West Main. The incident is under investigation.
November 12
A female subject was transported from the 200 block of Walker Street to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation after threatening to harm family members.
A stolen vehicle was reported on the 500 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The vehicle was recovered, but the suspect was not located.
