Incidents 
February 28
Cash and other items were reported stolen from a building on the 400 block of East Main. The incident is under investigation. 
A domestic assault was reported on Burgoyne. The victim did not have injuries, and did not wish to pursue charges. 
Property damage was reported on the 100 block of Washington Avenue. An unknown suspect damaged a vehicle and stolen items from inside of it. The case is under investigation. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on Llama Drive. Inside the residence, a woman was arguing with her son. The woman was arrested on active warrants. 
A peace disturbance was reported on East State Route K. No charges stemmed from the incident. 
A female subject came to the police department to make a fraud report. A report was completed. 
An overdose was reported on the 800 block of 1st Street. A male subject was treated on scene and refused to be taken to the hospital for further treatment. 
An assault was reported on the 400 block of Walker. Charges are being sought. 
March 1
A complaint was forwarded to the municipal prosecutor regarding a nuisance violation on the 300 block of Thayer Avenue, as well as a violation on the 2600 block of Paula Drive. 
Following a 911 hang up call from the 500 block of Harlin Drive, a male subject was arrested on active warrants out of Willow Springs. 
March 2
A bag of clothing was located outside of a business on the court square. The items were placed in evidence for safekeeping. 
A hit and run accident was reported in the Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Department parking lot. The case remains under investigation. 
Items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Trish Knight. The matter remains under investigation. 
A peace disturbance was reported on the 700 block of East Main. An argument had occurred between a mother and son, with the son pushing the mother. The woman did not wish to pursue charges. 
A dog bite was reported on Pamela Drive. The reporting part did not wish to pursue charges but wanted the incident documented. 
A male subject was arrested on the 1000 block of 3rd Street on active warrants. 
A female subject was arrested on an active warrant while at the Howell County Court. 
An agency assist was requested by the Children’s Division at a residence on Lynn Drive. No criminal charges were filed. 
A theft was reported at Mudbusters on Preacher Roe Boulevard. The investigation continues. 
Forensics were requested on a cellular device suspected of containing child sexual abuse material. The matter remains under investigation. 
A subject was arrested on active warrants on the 300 block of Thornburgh. 
Game Stop reported a theft. The case remains under investigation. 
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard. 
March 3
A theft was reported from a vehicle that was parked on Walnut. A female subject also reported items being stolen from her vehicle near the same area on Walnut. Additionally, contact was made with a subject at Walnut Grove Apartments, who stated that a firearm was stolen from inside of his vehicle. The investigation continues. 
A scooter was reported stolen on the 1000 block of 5th Street. The matter remains under investigation. 
A report of shoplifting was received from Walmart. A report was taken. 
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office requested digital forensics be conducted on a cellular device that was suspected of containing child sexual abuse material. 
A subject with active warrants from Oregon County was taken into custody at the West Plains Police Department. The subject posted bond and was released from custody. 
A woman reported receiving a fraudulent check. Information was collected from the woman and was forwarded to the detectives’ division. 
A burglary was reported at Silvey’s Storage. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation. 
A male subject was taken into custody after allegedly making sexual comments to a minor at The Hangout on West Broadway. The man was placed on a hold, pending formal charges. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on Meadow Street. No charges were filed, due to an uncooperative victim. 
March 4
A female subject was taken into custody on active warrants at a residence on Carte Square. 
A theft was reported at Walmart. Upon further investigation, it was determined that no theft had occurred. A report was completed. 
A juvenile was reported to have been assaulted by a parent on the 800 block of Oregon. The case is under investigation. 
A male subject reported the theft of an item from his vehicle. A report was completed. 
A driver led officers on a short foot chase after an attempted traffic stop on Lynn Drive. A large amount of narcotics were found on the scene that the subject had attempted to hide. The subject was place on a hold, pending formal charges. 
March 5
A juvenile was harmed during a domestic disturbance on Dana Drive. The child was examined by EMS at the scene. Charges are being sought. 
Officers responded to a report of a male subject having a mental breakdown. It was determined that the male needed medical attention, and he was placed on a hold for a mental evaluation. 
A dog bite was reported on Debra Drive. The owner of the dog was arrested on active warrants. 
A domestic assault was reported on Washington Avenue. A woman was in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend when the boyfriend pushed her. She showed no visible injuries, and she did not wish to pursue charges. 
A male subject was arrested for violating a protection order on Washington Avenue. 
A child was taken to the home of a family friend, following a hotline call to the Children’s Division for unsanitary living conditions at a home on Anne Drive. 
A two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 63. One driver was cited for driving while revoked. 
A verbal domestic was reported at a residence on Worcester. A female at the scene was taken into custody on an active warrant. 
A physical altercation was reported on Anne Drive. A report was completed for documentation purposes. 
A male runaway was reported on Howard. The male was located after a search of the area and was returned to his home. 
March 6
A suicidal person was reported on Olden. Contact was made with the female subject, who stated that she did not wish to harm herself. 
A male trespassing subject at Casey’s on Saint Louis Street was taken into custody on active warrants. 
A domestic assault was reported on the 1000 block of North Howell. A suspect was taken into custody and placed on a hold, pending formal charges. 
A theft was reported at Ozarks Healthcare. Following an investigation, it was determined that no crime had been committed. A report was completed for documentation purposes.
