September 29
Officer Caleb Kerley responded to 2nd Street for a court order violation. He arrested one subject and them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Jackson Street for a death investigation. He found no signs of foul play.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Newton Street Lot for a domestic incident between two spouses. He separated both parties.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist investigated a child crime on Grace Ave. A juvenile referral will be completed and forwarded to the juvenile office.
Officer Tyler Franks responded to a report of an animal bite. He issued three citations to a subject after finding their dog bit an individual walking their dog.
Officer Siegrist took a report from C-Star on Division Drive regarding two juveniles running away from the facility. A juvenile referral will be completed and forwarded to the juvenile office.
September 30
Officer Martin took a theft report on Porter Wagoner Blvd. The investigation will be ongoing.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Division Drive for an out-of-control juvenile. He assisted the Juvenile Officer on scene with securing a 17-year-old juvenile for transportation to detention.
Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of a juvenile in possession of nicotine products. This case will be sent to the Juvenile Office.
Officer Siegrist responded to Walmart for a report of stealing. The case will remain open for further investigation.
October 1
Officer Dawson Beavers received a report of a sexual assault that happened 2 years ago on Lanton Street. This case will be open pending investigation of the West Plains Detectives Division.
Officers took reports of lost and found property on Parkway Shopping Center and Holiday Lane.
October 2
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Burke for a report of a domestic disturbance. He spoke with the victim while other officers contacted the suspects. Officers arrested suspects and this case will be considered cleared and will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Officer Brandon Vernon took a report of a stolen Cash App card. He identified a suspect, and a probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor.
Officer Powell took a report of a runaway juvenile. A juvenile referral will be completed and forwarded to the juvenile office.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Wilbanks Tire and Auto for a structure. An RV parked at the business caught fire and the WP Fire Department extinguished it. An investigation will be conducted.
October 3
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to Missouri Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. He found an individual acting frantic and suffering from auditory and visual hallucinations. EMS transported the individual to Ozark's Healthcare Emergency Room for the purposes of mental evaluation.
Officer Kerley took a report from an individual alleging someone at Galloway Park threatened them with a firearm. His investigation found an unknown subject shoved an individual and the individual lost a firearm and a cellphone.
Officer Vernon responded to Burgoyne for a requested wellbeing check. They transported the individual to the ER to be checked out.
Officer Chris Barrett took a report of stolen property.
Officer Conner Burnes assisted the Department of Social Services with a possible child abuse case. He found the incident happened outside city limits. Social Services will continue to investigate with Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
