June 1
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Edward Jones for a report of property damage.
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to a residence on Woodland Avenue in regards to a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer Katie Sandgren responded to the 10 Box Grocery Store regarding a shoplifting report. This investigation will remain open and ongoing pending further information regarding the suspect's identity.
Officer Robert Shell conducted a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner and arrested the individuals after discovering drug paraphernalia. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's office for review.
Officer Caleb Kerley responded to Olden St for a report of stealing.
June 2
Officer Daiman Meyer conducted a traffic stop at Walmart and during the investigation found drug paraphernalia. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Martin responded to Snappy Mart 11 for a report on counterfeit currency. An investigation is ongoing.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to a residence on Renfrow for a domestic altercation. Both parties agreed to separate. No charges are being sought due to an uncooperative victim.
Officer Wartanby responded to a wellbeing check request. The reporting party stated the subject discharged a firearm as well as assaulted an individual. After an investigation he arrested the suspect.
Officer Shell responded to the area of Walnut for a requested wellbeing check. They transported one individual to OZH and placed on a 96-hour mental health evaluation.
June 3
Sgt. Brandon Stephens conducted on a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Blvd. He arrested the driver for minor in possession of alcohol and on an active warrant out of West Plains Municipal Courts for minor in possession of alcohol. His investigation found a passenger in the vehicle also a minor in possession of alcohol.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to AT&T in reference to stealing. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Brandon Vernon took a report of stealing from a residence. The victim wished not to pursue charges at this time.
Cpl. Conner Burnes took a report of a scam on Ozark. The reporting party stated the unknown suspect convinced them to send money via gift cards. This case is pending further leads.
Officer Vernon conducted a traffic stop on 7th St with a vehicle who had a passenger with a warrant out of the City of West Plains.
June 4
Officer Meyer received information regarding an individual with a mental health issue. He located and transported them to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental health evaluation.
Sgt. Wichowski spoke to a citizen who wished to voluntarily forfeit and surrender a firearm.
Dt. John Hughston conducted an investigation which resulted in the purchase of illegal narcotics. This investigation is ongoing.
Officer Siegrist responded to Burke Ave in reference to a child walking outside of the apartment complex while unattended. He reported the incident to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline.
Officer Siegrist took a report of stealing on Luna Drive.
Sgt. Micah McKemie responded to Abe Taylor in reference to subject possibly entering a closed business. Officers cleared the building and did not locate anyone.
June 5
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Lanton Road. His investigation found the driver and passenger in possession of drug paraphernalia and the driver holding an active arrest warrant. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Shell arrested an individual with an outstanding warrant.
Officer Beadell completed an investigation of harassment.
Officer Wartanby responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident. The investigation found one party had a suspended driver’s license. This case is still under investigation.
June 6
Officer Tombley conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Main St and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Gill conducted a traffic stop at South Hill and Maple Ave and arrested the driver for an active warrant.
Officer Keepes responded to the Rest Inn for warrant service.
June 7
Officer Keepes responded to Simmons Bank for an alarm. He found the building secure.
Officer Sandgren responded to Main St for a domestic altercation. The investigation determined no crime occurred. Later officers responded back to the scene for the suspect harassing the victim. Once again, officers found no criminal elements. The parties separated for the night.
Officer Vernon conducted a traffic stop and arrested the passenger for possession of a controlled substance.
