June 19

Officer Chris Siegrist responded to Burke Ave. for a verbal domestic. 

Officer Joel Lovelace responded to First Baptist Church for a report of stealing. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Whitley Clark responded to Hibbett Sports for a private property vehicle accident with one party leaving the scene.

Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Crestwood Circle for a runaway juvenile. Officers located the juvenile and returned them home.

June 20

The Douglas County Sheriff Department requested that digital forensics be conducted on a cellular device as part of an ongoing investigation within their jurisdiction. The process was completed, and the device/forensic report was provided to the case agent. 

Officers responded to the Crestwood Circle for a report of a juvenile who was refusing to go with their father. Officer Clark transported the juvenile to the juvenile office and later to the hospital for mental evaluation. This case will remain open for further investigation. 

Officer Clark took a report of a runaway juvenile.

Officer Robert Shell responded to Main Street for a child endangerment report. They found a child located in the middle of the street and returned the child to the parents.

Officer Shell received a report of a burglary in progress. He arrested an individual for domestic assault and placed them on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

June 21

The Wright County Sheriff Department requested digital forensics be conducted on a cellular device as part of an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction. The process was completed, and the device/forensic report was provided to the case agent 

Officer Brent Keepes took a report of a stolen vehicle.

June 23

Sgt. Wichowski responded to Webster Avenue for a report of property damage. 

Officer Martin responded to West First Street for a report of domestic assault. Charges will be sought.

Sgt. Wichowski responded to East Main Street for a report of domestic assault. Investigation found an assault took place. Neither party wanted to press charges against the other.

June 24

Officer Lovelace took a report of shoplifting from Dollar General. 

June 25

Officers responded to Newton Ave. for a domestic assault. After an investigation, they arrested the primary aggressor and placed them on a 24-hour pending formal charges.

June 26

Officer Martin responded to Ozark Street for a report of an alarm. He discovered a door open. Officers cleared and secured the building. There were no apparent signs of forced entry, and nothing appeared to be taken.

Officer Lovela ce responded to Hynes Street to standby for a City of West Plains Electric Crew while they removed power from a residence. Investigation determined the homeowner damaged/tampered with City of West Plains property. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office in regards to the incident. 

Officer Barrett responded to Thornbough for a dispute. The parties involved agreed to separate. 

Sgt. Brandon Romans responded to Broadway and Halstead for a possible domestic situation. His investigation learned that a verbal disagreement occurred between a couple who are currently in a relationship.

Officer Keepes responded to Phillips 66 gas station for a report of a domestic assault. Officer took one party into custody and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

June 27

Cpl. McKemie took a report of a stolen license plate.

June 28

Officer Brixey responded to Aid Avenue to a report of an unresponsive individual. During contact with the individual, a consent to search led to locating drug paraphernalia. This case is considered inactive, and no charges are being sought at this time. 

Officer Brixey responded to Deatherage and Paula to a one-motor vehicle crash on private property and an unknown suspect vehicle.

June 29

Officers arrested a male subject on N. Howell near College Street on Howell County, Douglas County, and Taney County warrants. They found the subject in possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Officers responded to Myrtle and N. Howell for a report of an individual with a knife.

An officer observed an illegal vehicle resulting in a traffic stop. Officers then located a subject inside the vehicle to have multiple warrants from the City of West Plains. 

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Preacher Roe and Garrett Street. The driver ditched the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers located the suspect fleeing on foot on Monk Street. They transported the subject to the West Plain Jail and placed him on a 24-hour hold. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office. 

June 30

Officer Deshazo received a report of a possibly suicidal subject. He located the individual and after a consent to search, found a controlled substance. The individual willingly went with EMS to be checked. This report shall be considered inactive pending lab results. 

Officer Deshazo responded to Gibson Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation found the suspect vehicle left the scene without reporting or making contact with others involved. This case shall be considered inactive.

Officer Shell took a report of stealing.

Officer Lovelace responded near the intersection of First Street and Porter Wagoner Boulevard for an assault. During the investigation the subject assault an officer. Officers arrested the subject and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. The victim of the initial assault declined prosecution. 

Sgt. Wichowski responded to Eastwood Drive for a report of a suicidal subject. Officers placed the individual on a 96-hour mental evaluation hold.

July 1

Officer Deshazo spoke to an individual regarding a possible sexual assault.

Officer Siegrist responded to Porter Wagoner for a report of an individual with a knife. Investigation found an ongoing domestic disturbance.

July 2

Officer Lovelace received a report of property damage at the West Plains Municipal Golf Course. He identified the suspect and located them. They placed the suspect on a 24 hour hold for property damage. 

Officers responded to a report of careless & imprudent driving. The reporting party described a lifted white Dodge truck in the West Plains High School parking lot creating skid marks. Officer Burnes located the suspect and arrested them. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecutors Officer for the charges of property damage first degree, driving while intoxicated, minor in possession, and other driving infractions.

Officer Brixey responded to Worcester for a report of a domestic assault involving a beer bottle. Officers arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office. 

Officers responded to Ozarks Healthcare in reference to an overdose. No charges are being sought. 

Officer Mingus responded to Thayer Ave for a domestic disturbance. Investigation found two subjects in a verbal altercation turned physical. A report will be forwarded to the Howell County's Prosecuting Attorney’s office for assault and stealing. Charges also will be forwarded against an individual for violation of a protection order.

Officer Miller responded to Bill Virdon Blvd. for a dog that entered a business without proper restraint. No charges are being filed at this time. 

Officers responded to Terra in reference to an individual choking. The individual regained a pulse, and EMS transported them to Ozarks Healthcare. 

Officer Miller responded to Debra Dr. for a court order violation. The case is being forwarded to Howell County prosecuting office.
