Officers received found property and entered it into evidence.
Cpl. Thomas Manning and officers conducted warrant services on N. Howell when they observed a wanted subject enter the residence. After an hour long stand-off officers convinced the subject to exit the residence and comply with all orders.
Officer Jacob Brixey responded to Preacher Roe Boulevard for a report of stealing. A probable cause statement will be sent to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Robert Shell took a report of domestic assault. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
May 28
Officer Whitley Clark received a report of lost or stolen property at the Baymont Hotel. This case is considered open for further investigation.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Kentucky Avenue in reference to a report of shoplifting. Investigation found a subject entered the store, concealed a bottle of vodka in his backpack, and left the store without paying for the item. They identified the suspect, and a probable cause statement will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Courts.
Officer Connor Burnes responded to Olden Street for a report of a suspect who caused emotional distress to the victim. This case is still under investigation.
Officer Powell responded to Worley Drive in reference to a theft report. Investigation found the reporting party advised a subject selected a DeWalt Impact drill and a double package of DeWalt batteries, concealed them on his person and left without paying for the items. They identified the suspect, and a probable cause statement will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Newton Street for a stolen game camera. Due to the lack of information the case will be closed and reopened if more information is found.
Officer Brixey received a report of stealing from Davis Drive. The case is pending further investigation by the West Plains Investigative Division.
Cpl. Manning conducted a warrant check on a pedestrian at First and Missouri. He found the individual to have active warrants for his arrest.
Officer Keepes responded to a residence on Lanton Road for a physical domestic incident. Investigation resulted in the arrest of one subject. Charges will be sent to Howell County Prosecutor.
May 29
While conducting security checks on local businesses, Cpl. Wesley Stuart found an unsecured door on Preacher Roe Blvd. Officers found no signs of criminal activity and security the business.
Officer Powell spoke with the victim of a theft of a wallet.
Officer Barrett responded to a business located on Gibson for a report of stealing. Investigation found an illegal device installed for the purpose of fraud on their property.
The Howell County Sheriff's Department requested for digital forensics conducted on a cellular device as part of an ongoing investigation within their jurisdiction. They completed the process, and the device and forensic report will be provided to the case agent.
Officer Powell responded to Nichols in reference to wellbeing check on an individual. Investigation determined the subject deceased. This matter remains under investigation.
Cpl. Manning received a report for stealing on US Highway 63. This case will be pending further information.
The Ava Police Department requested digital forensic conducted on a laptop computer as part of a narcotics investigation within their jurisdiction. They completed the process, and the laptop and forensic report will be provided to the case agent.
Officer Keepes spoke with an individual regarding harassment. Charges will be sought.
Officer Daiman Meyer responded to a business on north US Highway 63 for a report of a check wellbeing. Investigation learned an individual violated a court order of protection. This case is open and inactive, pending camera footage of the incident.
May 30
Officer Powell spoke with the victim of an assault and property damage at the Howell County Sheriff Office. The victim reported person known to him cut his tent in several different locations and used a piece of wood to assault him. The offenses occurred sometime within the past month. This matter remains under investigation.
Officer Keepes responded to Ozarks Healthcare for a report of stolen property. Investigation found a weed trimmer and ion battery taken from the tool shed. No suspects are identified at this time.
Officer Keepes responded to Washington Ave following an open line with 911. He placed a subject into custody for violation of protection order. During the arrest, he located narcotics. Charges will be sought.
May 31
Officer Clark received a report of business identity theft. This case is under investigation.
Officer Chris Siegrist responded to Bill Virdon in reference to fraudulent use of a credit card. Investigation learned multiple credit cards were stolen and used fraudulently. This case is still under investigation.
Officer Keepes responded to a residence on Pearl Circle for a physical domestic incident. The party separated and he issued one summons to court.
Officer Meyer responded to Porter Wagoner Blvd for a report of an assault. Investigation learned two individuals assaulted another. Officers took one individual into custody for the offense, a Probable Cause statement will be completed regarding both subjects involved. This will be referred to the respective Prosecutor's Offices.
June 1
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Broadway Street. He learned the driver operated the vehicle while intoxicated. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Barrett responded to East Dixon Street for a report of a domestic. Officers contacted an individual stating the couple had an argument with one assaulted by the other. They arrested the subject and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Officer Mingus responded to 7th Street for a domestic incident. The incident resulted in property damage to multiple vehicles.
Officer Meyer responded to Jennifer Drive for a report of a domestic incident. Investigation led to the arrest of the primary aggressor. This case has been referred to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
June 2

June 4
Cpl. Stuart responded to Gibson for a report of a disturbance. Investigation determined a business refused the purchase of alcohol to an intoxicated individual who then refused to leave the business. Prior to officer arrival, the subject opened the package and began drinking the beer from it. Officers issued the subject a summons for to court for the violation.
Officer Deshazo responded to a business on Imperial Drive for a report of a disturbance involving an individual refusing to leave. Investigation found the subject previously trespassed from the business.
Cpl. McKemie responded to Division in reference to a property damage incident. Charges will be forwarded to the juvenile office.
Officer Keepes responded to the area of Joe Jones for an assault. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
Cpl. Manning responded to the fairgrounds for a report of harassment. Charges will be forwarded to the municipal prosecuting attorney.
June 5
Officer Deshazo responded to a residence on Woodland Avenue for a report of a disturbance where one individual displayed a firearm. Investigation resulted in one arrest. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Officer Barrett received a report of a stolen bicycle.
Cpl. Manning responded to Galloway Park in reference to an assault. The suspect attempted to flee, and officers later apprehended and them placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Officer Martin took a report of stealing.
June 6
Officers responded to Myrtle Street for a physical domestic disturbance involving injuries from a stabbing. Investigation found that a physical domestic altercation did occur between a male and female. Officers arrested the female on a 24-hour hold. Both parties denied medical treatment. Charges will be being sought.
June 7
Officer Clark received a report for stealing at the Dollar General Store located on Bill Virdon Boulevard. This case is considered open for further investigation.
The Texas County Sheriff's Office contacted Dt. Sgt. Aaron Galiher for assistance with a child pornography investigation. Search warrants were obtained for Ozarks Healthcare, and officers seized a cell phone. The investigation will be turned over to the Texas County Sheriff's Office.
Officers received a report of domestic assault which resulted in the arrest of one.
Officer Keepes responded to a residence on Walker Street for an out-of-control juvenile breaking items in the house. The child had to be restrained and transported to the hospital by EMS. No charges are being sought.
Officer Beadell responded to Imperial Drive for a reported domestic assault. He photographed all the evidence and injuries and arrested the suspect. This case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney's office.
June 8
Officer Deshazo received a report of stealing. This case shall be considered open pending further investigation.
Officer Deshazo received a report of suspicious circumstances from Hynes Street.
Officers conducted a pedestrian stop at the Civic Center on a “known” narcotics user. After consent search of the person’s belongings, they placed the subject under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.
June 9
Officers received a report of a runaway juvenile from Saint Louis Street. They found the juvenile and returned them safely home.
Officers responded to Washington Ave. for a call from a highly intoxicated individual considered a danger to himself and others. They placed the subject on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Officer Siegrist responded to Lanton in reference to a disturbance. They transported an individual to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.
