July 8
Officer Jacob Brixey responded to Catalina to a report of abuse and neglect of a child. The case is open and pending further investigation by the West Plains Investigative Division.
Officer Robert Shell responded to East Main for a report of stealing.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Wal-Mart located for a male shoplifting.
Officer Jerry Mingus Lambe responded for an out-of-control juvenile. Officers found a juvenile misbehaving and acting out.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Lanton Rd. for a court order violation. Investigation learned a violation had occurred. Charges will be sought.
July 9
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Joe Jones Blvd for a reported 911 hang-up incident. After searching part of the premises, officers learned that the original caller to 911 broke into part of the building. The individual made multiple suicidal statements. The suspect was detained and were transported to the hospital by EMS. This case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to Galloway Park for a report of a fire in the restrooms. Officers issued citations for illegally burning and property damage.
Officer Brad Jones received a call to Hubert Redford Lane in regards to a disturbance between neighbors. After speaking with all parties, the matter is resolved.
Officer Austin DeShazo responded to a business on Preacher Roe Blvd. for a report of property damage. The case will be considered closed due to lack of evidence.
Officer DeShazo investigated a motor vehicle crash. One driver did not have a valid license and received citations.
Officer Kerley responded to a report of lost or stolen property on Westwood Drive. Investigation found an individual who had been assaulted by their spouse. Charges are pending.
Cpl. Thomas Manning arrested a subject on outstanding warrants.
Officer Connor Burnes responded to Maple Street for an assault. The reporting party said the juvenile suspect struck them in the face with a closed fist. This case will be sent to the 37th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Division for domestic assault and possession of nicotine products charges.
Officer Burnes received a call for a disturbance on Davidson Street. The caller reported an argument and an individual making suicidal statements and mentioning domestic abuse. The subject was transported to the local hospital for treatment.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle operated by a suspended driver. They arrested the driver and passenger for outstanding warrants, possession of controlled substance, and multiple other charges.
Officers responded to Porter Wagoner and Sixth Street for an injured dog. The dog had been struck by a vehicle and was taken to the West Plains Veterinary Clinic.
July 10
Officer Daiman Meyer responded to Davidson Street regarding a court order violation. A probable cause statement will be completed and referred to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Kerley spoke with an individual regarding a possible theft by failure to complete services. The individual did not wish to press charges.
Officer Kerley responded to Kentucky Ave to meet with an Oregon County Sheriff's Deputy about an assault that took place in that jurisdiction.
Officer Keepes spoke to a couple reporting a verbal altercation. No physical contact occurred, and no charges will be filed.
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to the area of the Samaritan Outreach Center for a report of an attempted overdose. South Howell Ambulance personnel transported the individual to the Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Room for treatment.
July 11
While on foot patrol, Officer Meyer found an open door. He cleared and secured the building.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to Webster in reference to an assault. A probable cause statement will be completed and forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.
Officer Kerley received a report from Sixth Street for a reported firearm theft. Investigation found a firearm stolen from the victim's parents' house. The case will be forwarded to the West Plains Detective Division for further investigation.
July 12
While conducting a park check on Broadway Street, Officer Meyer told an individual to leave the area. The subject resisted was arrested. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Beadell responded to Kay Drive for a report of CPR in progress. Officers arrived on the scene and assisted EMS with the CPR procedures. Officers interviewed the other person living in the residence. Due to the overall medical conditions of the patient and the lack of effect of CPR, they called the time of death. This case will be considered closed.
Officer Gill investigated a report of a vehicle accident and found a property damage incident took place.
Officer Mingus arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.
Cpl. Micah McKemie spoke to individuals involved in a verbal altercation.
Officer Kerley received a report of an inmate damaging jail property. Charges will be filed.
Officer Siegrist responded to Hubert Redburn in reference to a disturbance in progress. Investigation learned an individual harmed themselves and an altercation occurred to prevent it from continuing. They transported one individual to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour mental health evaluation.
July 13
Officer Gill received to West Second street for a stealing report. Charges will be filed with the West Plains Municipal Courts.
Officer DeShazo responded to a business on West Broadway Street for a report of property damage. This report shall be considered open pending further investigation.
Officer Gill received a report of a protection order violation on Lanton Road. Charges will be filed with the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
Officer Gill arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Siegrist received a report from Locust in reference to an incident involving an intoxicated individual. He separated the parties and issued a citation.
Officer Robert Shell responded to Missouri Ave for a call of property damage and a possible auto theft. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested one individual. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Officer Mingus responded to Hubert Redburn for an assault. Minor injuries occurred and EMS examined the victim.
July 14
Officer Beadell responded to Missouri Ave for a reported assault. Based on the statements, he arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold in the West Plains Municipal Jail. This case will be referred to the prosecuting attorney's office.
Officer Gill arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell responded to Broadway for a call of a disturbance in progress. He spoke with four juvenile subjects.
Officer Siegrist responded to Jon in reference to trespassing. Investigation learned the individual suffered from mental and physical ailments. They transported the individual to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour mental evaluation.
Officer Siegrist responded to Woods in reference to a physical domestic assault in progress. Officers placed an individual under arrest on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
