January 9
Officer Heuchelin took a report of a violation of an order of protection. He will forward a report to the Howell County Prosecutor for review of charges.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Browning Land in reference to a theft report. He arrested a suspect, and turned them over to the Juvenile Office. 
January 10
Officer Powell responded to Monks Street for a report of domestic assault. During the investigation, he found both parties received minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The matter will be forwarded to the West Plains Prosecutor for consideration of charges. 
Officer Connor Burnes responded to Olden Street for a juvenile issue. He discovered a person under the age of eighteen in possession of a nicotine vapor product. The case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
Officer Joel Lovelace responded to Second Street for a report of assault. He will forward a report to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for review of charges.
Officer Keepes took a report at the Howell County Health Department of a dog bite. The dog is on a ten-day hold at the West Plains Dog Pound.
January 11
Officer Jacob Brixey responded to Saint Louis and Olden Streets for a report of a disturbance. Officers placed the subject under arrest and transported them to West Plains Jail on a 12-hour hold for their protection.
Officer Powell responded to Newton Street regarding yelling from a residence. He found two subjects involved in a verbal dispute. No charges will be sought due to non-compliance from the victim. 
Officer Keepes responded to Jackson Street for a domestic incident. He found a couple involved in a verbal argument and will not seek charges. 
Officer Burnes responded to Olden Street for a juvenile problem. He found a subject in possession of a nicotine vaper product. The case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
Officer Martin responded to Gibson Street for a subject possibly under the influence with a juvenile in a vehicle. Division of Family Services responded to the location. Charges are being sought for the individual.
Officer Martin took a report of stealing from a residence on Sixth Street. A list of items and a report will be forwarded to the Investigations Unit. 
Officer Keepes responded to Anna Drive for an out-of-control juvenile. After investigation, he placed the juvenile on a 96-hour mental evaluation hold. 
January 12
Officer Martin investigated a domestic assault incident on Washington Avenue. He arrested a subject, and charges are being sought.
January 13
Detective Joe Neuschwander and the Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force-Springfield and the Webster County Sheriff’s Department executed a residential search warrant on State Route KK in Fordland, MO concerning the sexual exploitation of children. Several items were seized, and one subject placed in custody pending formal charges. 
January 14
Officer Martin responded to a possible overdose on South Thayer Avenue. During the course of the investigation, a subject perished. The case is forwarded to the Detective Division for further investigation. 
Officer Heuchelin responded to Gibson Street for a possible shoplifter. The owner requested the subject trespassed from the property. A report is being forwarded to the Juvenile Office for the possession of liquor by a minor. 
January 15
Officer Brixey responded to West Second Street for a report of stealing. The case will be forwarded to the Investigative Division for further review.
