Calls for Service
January 21
A residential security alarm was activated at a home on Clingan Avenue. The residence was checked and was found to be secure.
A minor traffic accident occurred in the parking lot of Love’s when a driver was attempting to back a trailer into a parking spot. The drivers exchanged insurance information, and the scene was cleared.
A well-being check was conducted at a residence on 6th Street.
Property damage was reported on Short Street. No arrests have been made in connection with the damage.
January 22
An abandoned vehicle was reported in the southbound lane of North Ferguson, blocking traffic in front of the high school. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A well-being check was requested for a resident on 6th Street. Contact was made with the male subject, who was fine.
A suicidal male subject was reported at a residence on Park Street. The male agreed to go to the stress unit at Ozarks Healthcare.
An intoxicated and potentially suicidal male subject was reported on North Summit. Contact was made with the male, who was cooperative and stated that he did not have thoughts of self-harm.
January 23
A female subject was taken into custody on an active warrant on State Route 76.
January 24
A caller reported that she was receiving scam calls.
A funeral escort was provided from Crossway Fellowship Church to the city cemetery.
A caller reported that there was a male subject that had been loitering in front of American Family Insurance, making her uncomfortable to enter the building.
A deceased deer was reported on the roadway near Love’s.
January 25
A nuisance violation letter was served at a residence on Ferguson.
Love’s reported that there was a suspicious female walking around the store and talking to herself. Contact was made with the woman, and it was learned that she was just walking around to try to calm herself after having an argument with her significant other.
A vehicle was observed at Booster Field after hours. Contact was made with an occupant of the vehicle, who stated that he was there to check the drop box.
January 26
A propane leak was reported on North Grand. The fire department responded to fix the leak.  
The director of the Willow Springs Public Library asked that an individual be trespassed from the library. The individual is suspected in the theft of library materials. No charges were filed.
January 27
A complaint of loud music was received from a residence on North Grand. Contact was made with a male subject who apologized for the noise. He had started his vehicle while getting ready for work and did not realize that the music was turned up.
