February 18
A male subject was arrested on a Texas County warrant during a call for service at his residence on State Route 76.
A well-being check was requested amidst a possible domestic disturbance on Park Street. It appeared that a verbal domestic had occurred with a child in the home. The female party’s mother came to pick her up.
Animal control was contacted after a large brown dog was reported running loose near an alley off North Walnut.
February 19
A man was charged with child endangerment after furnishing beer and prescription medication to a 15-year-old boy. After consuming the items, the boy was transported by EMS for a drug overdose.
A driver was booked and released roadside on Harris Street for driving while suspended and failure to provide proof of insurance.
A driver was booked and released at Snappy Mart for driving while suspended.
A report was received of a male subject outside of Family Dollar who was screaming and yelling at customers. Contact was made with the man, who stated that he was waiting for someone. He agreed to leave the property without incident.
February 20
A report was received of an intoxicated woman who was assaulting people at Willow Winds trailer park. The woman was booked and released for simple assault.
A caller reported being harassed by a male subject.
A verbal dispute was reported on North Ash. Both parties were intoxicated.
February 21
A female resident requested to go to the mental health unit, saying that she had feelings of self-harm. EMS responded to the scene.
A female caller stated that an ex-parte against her ex-boyfriend was about to end. The woman stated that he had threatened her, saying that he would take custody of the child and that she would be dead.
A caller reported hearing sounds like someone was knocking on her door. The area was checked, but no one was found.
Assistance was given to a stranded motorist at the intersection of Business 60/63 and Harris. The vehicle was towed from the scene with a cracked antifreeze hose.
One person was arrested on State Route 76 near Willow Road for driving while suspended. The subject was booked and released with a return court date.
February 23
A male subject was booked and released roadside on Springfield Road. The man was operating an unregistered ATV, driving while revoked/suspended, and failed to provide proof of insurance.
A male subject was arrested while attending municipal court on two warrants from the Summersville Police Department.
Assistance was given to a stranded motorist at the corner of Harris and Center. The driver was escorted to Snappy Mart, where he stated that he was going to call his brother for help.
Howell County 911 advised of a male with dementia from Oxford, Arkansas that was in Willow Springs. The man and his vehicle were located. Family members came to get the man.
A male subject was located inside the old Dollar General building. The male was able to produce paperwork, showing that he was conducting an inspection of the building.
A woman called to report threats made toward her in connection with a child custody exchange. The woman stated that her mother-in-law was coming to get the child and had made verbal threats, including mention of a firearm.
Assistance was given to a motorist after their vehicle slid off U.S. Highway 60 at State Route 76.
A truck driver pulled off West U.S. Highway 60/63 near Business 60/63, due to poor visibility. While waiting, the tires of the truck, hauling a flat deck full of tractor tires, sunk into the ground, causing the vehicle to be stuck.
