Calls for Service 

April 1

A security alarm was activated at G&W Foods. The manager reported that she accidentally tripped the alarm when entering the building. 

A male subject was arrested on two West Plains warrants. 

April 2

A person was reported standing on the bridge on South Harris. A well-being check was requested, but the person was not found in the area. 

April 3

A vehicle was reported dumping carpet at the city yard waste site. 

A non-injury accident was reported in the parking lot of G&W. 

One male subject had to be tasered when officers tried to break up a fight of two intoxicated males on East Main. The male subject was taken into custody after continued aggressive behavior. 

April 4

Love’s truck stop reported that two bad checks had been passed, totaling more than $1,000. 

A woman reported being harassed by her neighbor after her dog had chased the neighbor’s cat. 

A female subject was found sleeping in a vehicle near the West Side Church. The woman denied that she had been drinking, though the vehicle smelled of intoxicants. When an officer went to check an ID that was provided by the driver, the driver sped away. 

April 5

A caller reported an incident that had happened with a bus driver. The caller was advised to contact the school. 

A caller reported that a neighbor’s dog had been barking all day. 

A female subject who was known to active warrants was taken into custody. 

A female caller reported finding a wallet. 

An individual came to the police department to report stolen property. 

April 6

A disturbance was reported on North Grand. The issue was reportedly between the child if the reporting party and the children of a neighbor. 

A woman reported that she had been followed by the brother of a child that was in her custody. 

A report was received at the high school of a 36-year-old female who was having a seizure. EMS arrived on the scene and assisted the woman. 

A caller requested a well-being check on a person with whom she had been unable to make contact. 

A female subject reported that someone was repeatedly knocking on her door and leaving. Extra patrol was conducted in the area.  

April 7

A suspicious male subject was reported walking in the creek bed on East Main toward the airport. 

Contact was made with a tractor trailer driver who was pulled over on the side of U.S. Highway 60/63. 

A woman was taken into custody on Grand for two outstanding warrants. 

A non-injury accident was reported between two tractor trailers in the parking lot of Love’s. 

A residential alarm was set off at a house on North Center. It was discovered that wind had blown a door open.  

A caller reported that her eight-year-old daughter did not get off the school bus. The girl was found at approximately 6:00 p.m. asleep on the bus.
