Calls for Service
September 16
A call was received for a well-being check at a residence on Tenth St. Contact was made with the subject a short time later. 
A barbecue grill was reported stolen from the First General Baptist Church on Railroad Drive. The unknown suspect drove a large maroon SUV.
September 17
Five female juveniles were located near Main and Harris after curfew. The juveniles were released to their parents. 
A verbal altercation was reported at Willow Winds trailer park. The involved parties were advised to separate.
Two juveniles allegedly tried to start a fire in a building on East Valley. 
September 19
A complaint was received of a barking dog on North Ash. Contact was made with the owner, who agreed to put the dog up at night. 
A caller reported that juveniles were throwing objects at cars near Pizza Americana. No juveniles were located in the area. 
A woman reported property damage on South Center Street. A report was taken. 
A resident on Pine Grove Road stated that someone had left a note at the residence, which indicated that someone had been watching them. No criminal action was detected. 
September 20
A suicidal female subject was reported on Pine Grove Road. No contact was able to be made at the residence. 
A well-being check was requested at a residence on Lane Street. The subject was found to be sleeping and was fine.
A female subject was cited for driving while revoked during a traffic stop on Main Street. 
A non-injury traffic accident was reported near Subway.
Contact was made with the owner of a vehicle that was abandoned in an alley near Summit. The person was given 10 days to move the vehicle. 
September 21
Assistance was given to a stranded motorist on South Harris.
A small child was found wandering in the street near MFA. A deputy from Howell County Sheriff’s Office took the child into protective custody.
A loose dog was reported near Simmons Bank. 
September 22
A woman reported that her motorcycle had been stolen by a male subject. After an investigation, it was determined that the motorcycle had not been stolen.
