Calls for Service
Several lights were seen shining at a church on North Harris. Contact was made with the pastor who stated that there was a New Year’s Eve party and a game of flashlight tag happening at the building. 
An alarm was activated at Simmons Bank. A cleaning person was found inside the building, having accidentally set off the alarm. 
January 1
A woman was arrested during a traffic stop on North Walnut. The woman had an active warrant from Carroll County and one from Texas County. 
January 3
A male subject was arrested during a traffic stop on East Main. Several drug-related items were found on the subject’s person and in his vehicle. 
January 4
A man was arrested for a non-support warrant from Greene County, during a traffic stop on Willow Road. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of eleven baggies of a white crystalline substance, a scale, syringes and several credit cards. The man was transported to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office on the warrant and faces multiple drug charges. 
A woman called the police department in regard to an ongoing case. 
A truck was towed from the Love’s parking lot, after having been parked on the lot for some time. The transmission of the truck appeared to have been damaged. 
A man called, stating that he was having custody issues with his wife, who lives in Oklahoma. The man was told to bring his custody agreement papers to the department and fill out a statement. 
An alarm was activated at West Plains Bank. The building was checked and was secured. 
An alarm was also activated at the US Bank building on East 3rd. No activity was found at the building. 
January 5
Assistance was given to DFS on a call. 
A motion detector was triggered inside Dollar General. The building was checked and was found to be secure. 
January 7
A glass breakage alarm was set off at Tractor Supply. The business was checked, but no broken glass was found. The building was found to be secure. 
An SUV was observed parked in the vicinity of the cemetery with a male and female subject inside. The subjects were advised that they could not be parked in the area.
