Calls for Service 
A caller reported that neighbors were outside yelling at each other. The neighbors had gone back inside when an officer arrived and would not answer the door. 
An elderly male was shot in the elbow with a BB gun on East 6th Street. The man refused treatment. 
December 25
A vehicle was stranded on U.S. Highway 60 at State Route 76 with a possible alternator issue. Assistance was given to the family in the car to arrange for a tow truck to move the vehicle. 
A woman asked for a well-being check for her son, after the child’s father had suffered a stroke that morning. The child was reportedly staying with the father’s significant other. It was believed that the child and significant other were at Cox Hospital in Springfield, where the child’s father was in ICU. 
A male subject was issued a warning for disorderly conduct after refusing to comply with an officer’s request to lower the volume of music. The loud music had resulted in a peace disturbance call.
December 26
A suspicious motorcycle was found abandoned at First General Baptist Church. The motorcycle was towed from the scene. 
A well-being check on a female subject at Casey’s let to the arrest of the woman for driving while intoxicated. 
A woman and her autistic 15-year-old child were involved in an argument. The mother was observed with marks from being hit by the teen. She did not wish to pursue any charges. The teen agreed to take his medicine, which he had previously refused to take, leading to the argument. 
December 27
A male was arrested for driving while revoked, during a traffic stop on North Walnut. 
A woman reported that she could not get ahold of her son. Contact was made with the son, who was fine. 
A well-being check was requested for a female resident on State Route DD. 
A male subject reported property damage. A shed on the property had been spray painted. 
A suspicious subject was reported near Willow Tree Cafe. Extra patrol was conducted near the area. 
A handgun was found along State Route DD. The gun turned out to be an old broken BB gun. 
December 28
A search for possible stolen property at a residence on Pine Grove Road led to the arrest of a female subject with multiple active warrants. A male subject was also arrested near the scene after a short foot chase. 
Contact was made with three individuals who were seen in front of a condemned residence. None of the individuals had any active warrants. 
Snappy Mart reported a gas theft by a red four-door Dodge pickup with a black air gate. 
December 30
A male subject was taken into custody on active warrants, after being seen near Walgreens. The man Willow Springs transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains after making actions and statements of self-harm.
