Officer McGinnis found an open door on Drew Street and West Main Street. He conducted a security check of the buildings.

Officer Joby Hoopes removed debris from the roadway on US Hwy 60/63.

Officers spoke to nine individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

May 3

Officers Turnbull, Hoopes, and Gates responded to a call of shots fired in the area of W. Bus 60/63. He arrested one individual.

Officer Gates helped a motorist requesting medical assistance.

Officers spoke to six individuals requesting information or assistance and issued two traffic warnings.

May 4

Officer Gates received a call from concerned parents regarding a possible missing juvenile. While speaking to the parents, the juvenile contacted them. 

Officer Gates responded to a call of a child in the roadway. He located the child and moved him away from the roadway. The officer spoke to the parents. 

Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance.

May 5

Officers Hocking, McGinnis, and Barnhouse responded to Short Street for a report of harassment. They found a dispute between neighbors and separated them. 

Officer Barnhouse assisted EMS with a medical call at North Grand and Park Streets.

Sgt. Struble conducted security checks of local businesses.

Sgt. Struble assisted city utilities by securing the area of a downed line until they could respond.

Officers spoke to five individuals requesting information or assistance and issued three traffic warnings.

May 6

Cpl. Hocking received a report from a juvenile and their mother regarding threats made against the juvenile by other juveniles while at school. 

Sgt. Struble conducted a security check on a building with an open door.

Chief Ellison, Cpl. Hocking, and Officer Barnhouse assisted the fire department with a fire on Post Oak Drive.

Cpl. Hocking received a request for a wellbeing check and found everything fine.

Cpl. Hocking trespassed an individual from a property on East Main.

Sgt. Struble conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officers spoke to seven individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

May 7

Cpl. Hocking received a complaint of a suspicious individual repeatedly passing a business. The individual stopped and looked into the business, setting off an alarm. Officers identified the individual and trespassed them from the property.

Officer Barnhouse and Cpl. Hocking responded to the area of G & W Foods for a report of an altercation. Investigation determined a verbal dispute took place, and officers separated the parties and enforced the twelve-hour rule.

Cpl. Hocking and Sgt. Struble responded to Booster Field regarding a minor receiving threats from an adult.  The parents of the juvenile did not wish to press charges. Officers spoke to the adult informing them of the severity of the offense.

Officers spoke to six people requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

May 8

Officer Hedlesten responded to Ferguson Street for a report of a domestic incident. He did not locate anything.

Officer Gates served a trespass order. 

Officer Cronin responded to W Fourth St for a verbal disturbance. Both parties left peacefully.

Officer Cronin responded to W Main for a verbal disturbance. 

Officer Cronin assisted EMS with a medical call.
