Calls for Service

July 16

Deputy Chief Ryan Boyle responded to Waggoner True Value for a non-injury motor vehicle accident.

Officer Joe Barnhouse, Officer Mark Templemere and Sgt. David Hocking conducted investigation with HCSO regarding a possible stolen four wheeler. The stolen property was located, the suspect was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Howell County jail, pending charges.

Sgt. Hocking responded to State Route 76 for a verbal dispute. 

July 17

Officers Katie Kreuser and Templemere assisted the Howell County Sheriff's Office in locating and arresting a wanted subject at an address off of Lane Street.

Deputy Chief Boyle responded to Loves Travel Stop in reference to possible check fraud. The case remains open pending further investigation.

Sgt. Hocking took a report of an online scam involving the purchase of a vehicle. The case is currently under investigation.

July 18

Officer Hedlesten assisted children’s division with an investigation. 

Officer Barnhouse conducted a requested wellbeing check on Eleventh St. 

July 19

Officer McGinnis spoke to an individual at the department office regarding an assault.

Officer McGinnis responded to West Business 63 for a report of trespassing.

July 20

Officer Kreuser assisted a subject with posting bond on an outstanding warrant at the Willow Springs police Department.

Officers McGinnis and Kreuser responded to a verbal domestic disturbance on Corn Avenue.

Officer Clark assisted EMS with a medical call on West High St. 

July 21

Officer Clark assisted EMS with a medical call on Park St. 

Officer McGinnis conducted a requested wellbeing check on East Main St. 

Deputy Chief Boyle spoke with an individual at the police department office regarding a scam. 

July 22

Deputy Chief Boyle assisted children’s division with an investigation on North Grand Street. 

Officer Kreuser assisted EMS with a medical call on East Main and North Grand Streets. 

Officer McGinnis responded to Corn Ave for a report of a verbal domestic dispute. 

 

For the week officers: conducted checks on two abandoned vehicles, assisted with two animal calls, conducted eight area and business checks, assisted three motorists, conducted one escort, completed two administrative duties, spoke with eighteen individuals requesting or giving information, returned requested contact with three people, spoke with four individuals in the department office, and issued nineteen traffic warnings.
