Calls for Service 
July 15
A male caller reported that he had threatened his caretaker and had threatened to burn himself with a lighter. Contact was made with the caretaker, who stated that she had not called, but that the man had been making threats to himself. 
July 16
Suspicious activity was reported at American Diesel on Frisco. A truck was found running with the driver door open when Officer David Hocking arrived on the scene. The area was secured, and the responding officer suggested extra patrol in the area. 
A male subject fled on foot when an officer came near him in the area of West 4th Street. An individual stated that the male subject had been trying to gain entry to a saddle shop. The male fled behind a residence and was not found afterward. 
A woman reported that her neighbor’s dog was barking loudly. The dog had been let out of the owner’s house, and was crying to get back inside. 
July 17
A reckless driver was reported to be heading into town on State Route 137. The reporting party stated that the vehicle headed to the Town & Country parking lot. No vehicle matching the description was found. 
A well-being check was requested for a 17-year-old female. Contact was made with the female, and she was advised to call her mother. 
Traffic control was provided for a stranded motorist on the exit ramp near Love’s truck stop. 
July 18
A security alarm was activated at It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere. The clerk at the store stated that she had accidentally set it off. 
An employee at O’Reilly Auto Parts advised of a domestic disturbance in a vehicle in the parking lot. A woman was found arguing with her teenage daughter about a cell phone. 
An officer responded to a complaint of a custody agreement violation. The male subject was advised that the mother of the child had been given temporary custody of the child as part of a protection order that had been served against the man. 
July 19
A stop sign was pushed over by a vehicle at East Main and Holloway Drive. The stop sign was not damaged and was able to be put back into place. 
An intoxicated male subject was reported at a home on Clinton Avenue. The caller stated that she did not want the man at her house. The male subject agreed to leave. 
Damage was reported to a vehicle at the city pool. Further inspection of the vehicle revealed that the damage did not occur while the vehicle was parked at the pool. 
July 21
MFA reported that a catalytic converter had been stolen from a company vehicle.
