Second Annual Mountain View-Birch Tree Back to School Kick-off The hallways at Liberty Highschool were packed Tuesday evening as attendees enjoyed over eight hundred free hotdog meals including chips, cookies, and a drink supplied by West Plains Bank “We are always happy to jump in and serve our community, especially in support of education,” said Eric Wells, West Plains Bank and Trust Company Liberty Branch Market President. “Thanks to $9,400 in monetary donations from the Mountain View and Birch Tree communities, along with a ton of supplies dropped off by area businesses and individuals, the majority of items on our students’ supply lists were able to be marked off this year,” said Liberty Assistant Superintendent, Lana Tharp. Four-year-old Alice Messex sported her pink fire chief hat, and new backpack given out by vendors during Tuesday’s event.
