Lady Bears chalk another conference win

On a weather shortened schedule the Lady Bears played only one game last week: against the Lady Panthers of Mountain Grove. The Lady Bears faced the Panthers once already this year and defeated them 64-36.

For the second matchup, the Lady Bears were short handed as starter Ashlyn Jones was out with a knee injury, but that did not stop the Lady Bears. 

The Lady Bears jumped on the Panthers early and took a 17-3 lead after the first quarter. Both the Panthers and Bears score 12 points in the second quarter, bringing the score to 29-15 at the half.

The Lady Bears stretched the lead out to 20 after the third quarter. The Panthers did cut into the Lady Bears’ lead in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough, and the Lady Bears defeated the Lady Panthers 54-38.

The win puts the Lady Bears with a conference record of 3-1.
