Lady Bears take consolation prize at Mtn. Grove Holiday tournament

In the annual holiday tournament, the Lady Bears put up some impressive numbers, eventually walking away with the consolations. Soaring over Ava 51 to 22, the girls from Willow Springs came up short against the Lady Eagles of Mountain View in a nail-biting 56-62 loss.
The Lady Bears came roaring back with a 61 to 54 win over Plato. Aspin Atwell sank a personal-best thirty points in that game. In the final contest against hosts the Lady Panthers, Chloe Jones broke the school record of points by a single player in a game. 40 of Willow’s 68 points were courtesy of Jones. She was also selected to the All Tournament team.
The Lady Bears took home some hardware after a 68 to 54 win.
