Webb honored with Bear Volunteer Award

Adam Webb, school board member and Willow Springs High School alumnus, was honored on Palenske Field Thursday night with the Bear Volunteer Award in recognition of his service to the school district.
A member of the class of 1992, Webb is a “loyal supporter” of the Willow Springs Bears who honors his dad, Ron Webb’s, tradition of volunteering to cook for school events and fundraisers.
That night on the field, members of the boys’ basketball team were raising money selling burgers Adam had grilled. Along with Athletic Director Robert James, members of the team were on hand to present the honoree with the certificate and some ribeyes to grill for himself.
