Willow Springs Baseball/Softball set eyes on districts

The Willow Springs Boys Baseball team sits on a 6-12 record after they played three games this past week, all away. The first game on Monday, April 22 the Bears fell to the Houston Tigers 1-5. The following day at Hartville the Bears got the win 8-6 over the Hartville Eagles. Rounding out the week on Wednesday, April 24 the Bears took a tough loss against the Ava Bears 4-14. The Bears will face Seymour on April 29 and Alton on May 1 at home before traveling to Reeds Spring on May 2 and a final home game against Eminence on May 6 before heading into district play.
 
The Willow Springs Girls Softball team stands at 19-5 on the season. On April 22 the Lady Beras hosted Bakersfield where they claimed a big victory of 11-1 over the Lady Lions. Back-to-back games on April 23 and April 24 had the Lady Bears travelling to Van Buren and Ava where defeated the Van Buren Lady Bulldogs 10-7 and then took a loss to the Ava Lady Bears 6-7. On April 26 the Lady Bears hosted the Winona Lady Wildcats where they took a fielding win of 7-0. The Lady Bears will travel to Summersville on April 29 before beginning the Class 2 District 4 tournament on May 3.
