Willow Springs girls tennis season comes to end

The Willow Springs girls tennis season came to an end on Friday, Oct. 13 at the State Tournament held in Springfield. The doubles team of Melaina Wilson and Briana Hann battled hard in two tough losses to St. Michael's Catholic School and Marshall. The team finished with an overall record of 12-6. The team had three All-District players, a doubles team win districts, sectionals, and then went on to play at the final state tournament. "It was a great year for our tennis program," began Head Coach David Cox. "I am extremely proud of our team and their work this season. We will miss our two seniors Melaina and Allie. I am looking forward to seeing what our big group of younger girls can do moving forward." Pictured above is Melaina Wilson during state competition.
