Willow Springs Lions Club holds 45th Annual Father’s Day Golf Tournament

The Willow Springs Lions Club proudly announces the results of the 45th Annual Father’s Day Golf Tournament, held Sunday, June23 at the Thomas F. Benyo Municipal Golf Course. The long running event brought together golfers from across the region for a day of competition, camaraderie, and community support.
This year’s tournament paid five flights; Championship, A, B, C, and D with four places in each flight receiving $800, $500, $250, and $150 respectively. Each placing team consisted of two players.
Championship Flight: First–$800 Jordan Slayton/Cole Johnson with a score of57; Second-$500 Marc Prough/Noah Leslie with a score of 58; Third–$250 Marc Prough/Brady Altermatt with a score of 58; and Fourth–$150 Andrew Eckman/Chris Simmons with a score of 59.
A Flight: First–$800 Bradley/Tupper with a score of 61; Second–$500 Johnson/Johnson with a score of 61; Third–$250 Rogers/Finley with a score of 61; and Fourth–$150 Noah Leslie/Blayne Altermatt with a score of 61.
B Flight: First–$800 Wake/Wake with a score of 64; Second–$500 Colley/Taylor with a score of 64; Third–$250 Colley/Fullerton with a score of 64; and Fourth–$150 Wood/Grogan with a score of 64.
C Flight: First–$800 Bill Green/Saxton Green with a score of 66; Second–$500 Reese/Jungferman with a score of 66; Third–$250 Colley/Sysco with a score of 66; and Fourth–$150 Jungferman/Swenson with a score of 67.
D Flight: First–$800 White/Collins with a score of 69; Second–$500 Holt/Tune with a score of 69; Third–$250 Eckman/Eckman with a score of 69; and Fourth–$150 Shelton/Shelton with a score of 70.
Two skins paid out, $273 each. Winners were Wendy Willard and Noah Leslie. Thanks to Derek Shelton for his donation of a kayak. The raffle generated an additional $70 for the club/community!
The Lions Club extends sincere appreciation to all golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who made this year’s tournament a success. Proceeds from the event support Lions Club programs including vision and hearing assistance, youth scholarships, and community events.
